BB had no right to show Gary's knee incident

I thought medical matters were protected. Kim and claire were taken from the house with us knowing nothing and not seeing anything that led up to it.

Tonight you had a 70 year old man suddenly get a problem with his knee and in his panic he pulled his trousers down to deal with the medical issue.

Why wasn't his medical privacy and dignity respected? They should not show that.

Liam- 08-09-2014 11:53 PM

His knee hurt.. It was hardly anything embarrassing like having the squirts was it?

It does make one wonder tbh but of course they also showed him getting pulled over the coals. Makes one wonder. BOTS favourites Gary: George and Dee: It has been George and Dee from the beginning. Cant understand it as where are the celebrities?

bots 08-09-2014 11:55 PM

It was a personal medical condition, so I can see the argument not to show it. However, it generated the biggest/only conflict/story of the day, so it had to get a mention

Jamesy 09-09-2014 12:09 AM

Privacy and dignity? You do realise he got his cock and balls out in a kitchen, with cameras at all angles and a woman preparing food two feet away.

That is complete bollocks actually

Your description couldn't be further from the reality. Firstly, he sat down on a chair immediately, secondly, there were no women in the room when he took his trousers down.

The depths people go to take cheap shots and score points is obscene

Ah yes, I was mistaken. I thought Dee was in the room at the time but it was actually James and George who were in the room.

So yes, still in a kitchen with cameras at all angles and two male housemates two feet away.

So nope, not any depths for cheap shots. Actually a valid point. :)

And if a pregnant woman was in the house and her waters suddenly broke in the kitchen and she started giving birth, would she be criticised?

Gary had a medical emergency. He dealt with it as discreetly as he could.

agreed, spot on. the pitiful competition is getting mega desperate and are really in the gutter now, as are their supporters.

The word is pardon, do your own research for a change.

A hurting knee is slightly different to a nine month pregnancy. What a ludicrous comparison.

He didn't have a medical emergency. I've worked for the NHS and I know what medical emergencies look like. That was not it.

'The American girl had her back shown' is hardly a great basis for research isn't it?

it is bollocks cause you were taking cheap shots against a man who was in pain and panicking about his injury.

Trying to poke fun and make a joke out of someone in that position sure ain't cool to me

its not pregnancy but his knee popped out, thats serious pain. added to his other problems he deserved more empathy compassion and respect. as an nhs employee Im sure you agree.

There's no need to be so rude like.

How was I taking cheap shots... I evaluated what I believed I saw and posted it on here. That's not a cheap shot, that's an opinion on a Big Brother housemate...

I wasn't making a joke or poking fun either. But ok then.

He didn't look in any immense pain or suffering though. He was just walking over casually to a chair that was further away than say, the sofas, or even the toilet.

No it isn't. Both pieces of footage were shown.

One of those twins threatened to sue, Gary hasn't.

No double standard.

The twin didn't want her bottom shown on camera so ensured her bottom was covered, until someone else took to exposing her against her will.

Gary clearly didn't care and pulled his trousers down in front of everyone willingly, having no problem being seen both by the housemates and the cameras.

Kizzy 09-09-2014 12:46 AM

It was very humiliating and really uncomfortable to watch as he was obviously in a lot of distress, james handled the situation with his usual tactless ramblings.
Maybe they should suggest he only wear joggers so he can get to his knee without removing his trousers if he has a problem with it again.

her ass wasnt shown? also the fact umpteen women run around naked over the years and no warning, busey merely shows part of his bottom for a few seconds for a medical problem. not exhibitionism like these women and other men whove also taken their clothes off over the years. you show gary zero compassion for his many health problems. then again you keep encouraing violence against all men, so I expected no less. tut tut:nono::nono::nono::nono:

I've shown plenty compassion for his health problems. Gary is the housemate with my support.

The only reason her "ass" wasn't shown was because she pretty much pulled them straight up before Denise managed to have them clean off her so there wasn't much to show. The girl panicked and went into the diary room in case they got anything on tape.

Regardless, it's two very different circumstances. Both incidents were aired on the television however.
