X Factor 2014: 5 talented contestants we've yet to see

Quote:

With The X Factor 2014 auditions rounding to a close, here are five talented acts who have to so far failed to make it on to the telly.

We’re hoping that we’ll see at least some of them this weekend during the final two days of Arena auditions, but unfortunately their try outs may forever be left on the cutting room floor…

Steph Nala
http://static.tellymix.co.uk/ts/610/...teph-nala1.jpg
Steph had originally been part of group The Luminites who made the final of Britain’s Got Talent last year. After they were dropped following a flop debut single, the group went their separate ways with Steph auditioning for The X Factor this year.

Fleur East

Fleur originally made the X Factor live shows way back in 2005 as part of girl group Addictiv Ladies, mentored by Simon Cowell. They were the first act to be booted out but now Fleur is back on the show for another shot as a soloist.

Barclay Beales
http://static.tellymix.co.uk/files/2...lay-Beales.jpg
Barclay auditioned for the series last year and surprised the panel with his yodeling, but didn’t make the cut when it got to bootcamp – can he go any further this year?

Leah Gooden (on the left)

16 year old singer pianist Leah Gooden is one of the younger hopefuls on the show this year and we know she at least got to the Arena try outs in Wembley, but has so far not been shown.

Amelia O’Connell

Amelia auditioned on The Voice UK earlier this year and made it as far as the battle stages on Team Kylie. We’re told she impressed the judges at her room audition and is also at the arena stages.

The X Factor continues Saturday and Sunday on ITV.

If you make live shows you shouldn't be able to apply again tbh.

She was 17, her voice has changed and matured a lot since then. Also Addictiv Ladies were messy as a group tbh, she was the obvious star of the group.

She'll be in the Overs category this time  I hope she makes it!

I guess that ain't too bad as it's been a long time since she was on, but it still will feel weird

No one even remembers Addictiv Ladies

I agree with you that soloists shouldn't be allowed back again, but I think it should be allowed for former group members to come back as soloists after a while if they've not had any success post show. That's my opinion anyway

I like the sound of Leah!!

Time for the rapper from MK1 to return as a soloist next year

She is put into a 5-piece girl band! :D

(I don't think this is a spoiler since they do this every year anyway... who knows if they'll make the lives or not)

I'm guessing most of these will be fodder for the groups they'll inevitably put together at bootcamp. If they aren't shown from the start then it's unlikely they'll make it alone.

do we know what the name of the band is yet?

Omg :amazed: Barclay was my favorite auditionee last year! Here's hoping he makes it to the live shows this year! He has a tremendous voice

Mystic Mock 18-09-2014 06:04 PM

I thought that Barclay had some potential last year as something different/exciting, if he would be big in the charts or not I really don't know tbh.

Depends on the circumstances. For example, Carolynne from 2012 should be allowed to audition again, I'd say anyone eliminated past week 5 shouldn't be allowed though.

I take it she was good then if she's tweeting it herself.

Fleur and Steph both CONFIRMED on tonight's show.

Fleur East, a 26 year old singer from East London returns to the X Factor stage tonight but this time she’s on her own.
http://static.tellymix.co.uk/files/2...estants-10.jpg
Fleur was in the group ‘Addictive Ladies’ who got to live shows on series 2 but they were knocked out in week one, when they went head to head with Chico Slimani in the public vote.

When she returned for the arena audition in 2014 the stunning singer performed ‘I wanna dance with somebody’ by Whitney Houston but was stopped by Simon Cowell, who asked to hear a second song. Fleur chose Chris Brown’s ‘Fine China’. Simon thought she sounded like a different artist with the second tune.

Before singing Fleur explained:

“When I was 16 I auditioned for the X Factor, I was in a group, we were called Addictive Ladies and we got through to the lives show but got to the bottom two, it was between us and Chico and Louis Walsh voted us off the show. Looking back I wasn’t ready then. I’m ready now.”

She added:

“It’s really different this time because I am by myself. It’s a whole new experience. In the room audition I got three yeses but Simon was quite bored, I was happy I got through but it was a kick up the bum for me. I have been working really hard and I am more prepared today. I want to bring more energy and do a better job.”

After her audition Cowell told East:

“Fleur, you know what, I have to tell you, you were like a different artist. I really, really liked that.”

Tune into the X Factor tonight to see if Fleur did enough to win herself a place in bootcamp.

Stephanie Nala makes her big ITV return tonight, featuring on their other big talent show!
http://static.tellymix.co.uk/files/2...estants-04.jpg
The 20 year old singer, from Hertfordshire, previously found fame when she perform on Britain’s Got Talent in 2013 as part of a group named The Luminites. She even made it as far as the final.

However now she’s gone solo and on tonight’s episode of the X Factor the stunning wannabe is seen blowing the judges away with her own version of ‘Let me be your fantasy’ by Baby D.

Steph told the team:

“Where I live is quiet, not much goes not here. I need to venture out and singing is what I want to do with the rest of my life.”

stephanie nala

“There is one stage, one opportunity and I need the judges to take a chance on me.”

When Nala took to the stage in Wembley Arena she appeared nervous at first, however soon the singer found her groove and it was enough to win her a standing ovation from the audience at the end.

Mel B told her:

“You do something to a room. You mesmerise people.”

Cheryl FV added:

“You have the sweetest, softest tone to your voice.”

Tune in tonight to find out of Steph impressed Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh as much as she impressed the ladies of the judging panel.

Also, do you think she’s good enough to make the bootcamp round or even the live shows, where she would be mentored by Cheryl?

Tomorrows/Tonights show sounds awesome!

I liked The Luminites shame about them but looking forward to Steph.

Steph and Leah look active.

I like how they've introduced acts through both the room and arena auditions. It feels quite American Idol, and you don't see the same people over and over when you eventually get sick of them at judge's houses.
