Do you ever go to bed leaving the dishes still not done?

Lies will be spotted

:joker: I hate that part too,but couldn't be without one now.

I find it impossible to do that, I'd hate to wake up in the morning faced with a pile of dishes that needed to be cleaned, so i bung them in the dishwasher and do it straight away so everything is done.

Jack_ 01-10-2014 06:07 PM

As a student, yes pretty much every night

Marsh. 01-10-2014 06:07 PM

Dishwasher.

But we rarely properly unload it. We just take stuff out we need and then replace it when it's dirty and do another wash. :hehe:

Jamesy 01-10-2014 06:08 PM

We have a dishwasher. But usually make sure it's filled up at night and leave it overnight washing.

if I'm in the mood yeah, but otherwise no, I'll just leave it until the morning when I'm feeling more awake.

rubymoo 01-10-2014 08:06 PM

I have a dishwasher........the hubby:hehe:

And he washes the pots before bed, he polishes the taps and wipes and dries the drainer, and rinses the bowl.......i think he may be ocd!

Niamh. 01-10-2014 08:12 PM

ew no, we have a dishwasher as well though, unloading it still doesn't bother me, I still remember how much I hated washing up in the sink so I appreciate my dishwasher

Anaesthesia 01-10-2014 08:18 PM

Nope, I am perfectly happy to leave dishes until the next day. Both me and my OH have jobs where we don't get home until gone 1900 most days (I was 22.30 yesterday) and we always cook from scratch, although a couple of days a week we will start the slow cooker in the morning.

So by the time we have cooked and eaten, it'll be close to 9, we are knackered, and just want to watch something funny and go to bed...06.15 to get up. Plates we will put in the dishwasher, but pans and knives are always left for who gets home first the following day. (Soaked ofc ;) )

AnnieK 01-10-2014 08:19 PM

Nope.....can't go to bed knowing there are dishes.

Don't have a dishwasher and don't want one.....prefer to do it myself

I enjoy unloading my dishwasher

Gusto Brunt 01-10-2014 08:41 PM

I don't have many dishes as I live alone.

I only have two knives and one fork in the kitchen drawer, so I have to wash them when required. ;)

I have a load of plates but I don't like them to mount up dirty.

mizzy25 01-10-2014 08:50 PM

dishwasher

hijaxers 01-10-2014 09:00 PM

Never ever eat before 9pm so they always get left - I soak them in the morning and OH washes up when he gets in from work around 4pm ( a postie he's up early) and tomorrows are just out there waiting

I like to leave it tidy-ish even if the dishes aren't washed and put away. I don't stress about it, as far as I know, nobody has ever said on their deathbed "I wish I'd done more housework".
