Well Done the PM for not wearing these Criminal T-Shirts

Vicky. 02-11-2014 08:37 AM

Erm..I find it hard to believe that these politicians knew about the conditions the women are under tbh. Something I wear regularly could easily turn out to be made like that

is its for Womans Rights.

Now it looks Evil that these MP's wear them.

Harman - the woman MP who had it on
at PM's Question Time
is a Outright Fool.

I think the message is what is important and if through wearing them this other issue has been brought to light too then all the better.

The only reason David Cameron wouldn't wear one is likely because he doesn't believe in the cause.
He is however always happy to be seen supporting anything as to The Sun,that is far more worrying for me than Miliband, Harman and Clegg sporting T shirts in this cause.

I think most politicians could get a really good education as to how to act being a pillock just from watching and listening to David Cameron.
He is a superb master at being one of,if not 'the' best of being one.

I'm currently undergoing the design process for my new collection of t-shirts.

This design here with the slogan

It's not about how they're made, Ed & Nick obviously didn't know that. It's the message the wording on it says, and you know it. Stop digging for reasons to blame them.

No I will
as they kept saying the PM should have one on.
They are to blame

They are MP's not sandwich boards

Northern Monkey 02-11-2014 12:43 PM

It is pretty embarrassing tbh wether the message is good or not.Even if the message was nothing to do with femenism and it was another subject it would be embarrassing but the fact that it is about femenism gives it an unfortunate irony.

Perhaps it is time they were more like sandwich boards and stood up for causes like the general public do and advertise that fact as on these T shirts.

Get down with the real people of the UK and not hide away in their ivory towers, dictating things as to peopels lives that they have absolutely no comprehension of.

Just maybe. 'sandwich board' MPs would turn out to be better MPs for the whole of the UK and not just privileged sections of the UK.

Cameron likely wouldn't wear one because he doesn't believe in the cause.Give him a free loads of courses dinner and he would then likely wear anything, clearly there was nothing for him in this one.
Then again, as the Sun said after his conference speech, the Conservatives had adopted all the Sun's policies, so the Sun likely dictates what he wears or advertises too.

I couldn't tell you if most of my clothes were made in sweatshops or not so it's pretty unfair of The Mail to use it as an excuse to smear the message that Milliband and the other politicians were putting across.

user104658 02-11-2014 01:28 PM

I think less of him for trying to score points with mindless, directionless pop-feminism (a massive distraction from the truth for anyone seeking true universal equality). That's the problem here. Not how they were made. The fact that people will adorn themselves with any old "activist crap" because it's trendy and not because they have given any meaningful thought to the message.

Modern feminism is sexist, bigoted and destructive. Any politician who truly supports it immediately has my approval withdrawn.

Its not like its a small seedy back street factory where people are being forced to work. It looks like a very professional environment. So quite honestly, the amount people earn making the tee shirts is completely irrelevant. World markets dictate prices and earnings in these circumstances. People are trying to make a sensational story where it is just the norm across the globe. Is it better to having a thriving factory employing lots of people at 69 pence an hour, or for them to be priced out of business in the world market with wages of £5 an hour. I find it very amusing that people jump on their high horses at a sensational headline, when there is much more to the underlying issue.

You what!

its sold for £40

Let's be honest here, the only reason you're "angry" is because it's Ed Miliband. You normally don't give a flying crap about feminism.

Crimson Dynamo 02-11-2014 03:19 PM

Milliband is a total joke and will never win power

he is what is wrong with politicians

Its all summed up with him going passed that Romanian gypsy begging and then thinking about his image and going back and giving her 2p whilst not even looking at her.

I agree, you shouldn't need a £40 t shirt to advertise you're a feminist.
