**** kidney stones and stents: The End

Developed a kidney infection over night, was very painful until this afternoon, been to the doctors and have antibiotics. Which of course means no drinking at new year, or the work's Christmas do... :bawling::laugh:

lol, I don't drink really, NYE and the Christmas party are the exceptions, I'm not really that bothered about it, it's just funny that it happened now  the thing that bothers me more is the intense pain in my lower back.

Been through it myself Chewy - not nice. Get well soon and look on the bright side, no hangovers.:hehe:

My mum a kidney stone removed the other week and has been moaning about it for a month so I feel your pain

Scarlett. 30-12-2014 07:00 PM

The back pain has died down a lot, can still feel it a little bit though, but I am able to sit comfortabe enough now. Doctor said I should start properly recovering tommorow night, so it looks like I'm spending NYE in bed, lol. Perhaps I can finally watch some of the DVDs I got for Christmas.

Thanks for the get well wishes! :spin:

Ammi 31-12-2014 04:32 AM

..really sorry to hear this Chewy, the anti-biotics should kick in quite quickly with the pain/infection but these things are quite nasty so your body may take a little time to recover...be well soon and take care......

Word of warning to all of TiBB, ESPECIALLY Males:

Avoid kidney stones AT. ALL. COSTS.

Shaun 03-01-2015 06:50 PM

I've heard that passing them is more painful than childbirth :worry: My prayers are with you xo

Scarlett. 03-01-2015 06:53 PM

I didn't pass them though, I had a stent, don't google that. To put it nicely, they put a tube up where no tube should ever go.

Every day at 11 i get a bloody stent update from my mam. Its nippin, it dribbles out, its an infection

:fist: cant wait till they remove it

Scarlett. 03-01-2015 06:57 PM

lmao, can't wait til they remove mine too, it seems alright atm though, fingers crossed no infections or anything.

Kyle 03-01-2015 06:58 PM

This is one of my biggest fears along with getting molested by mr Blobby.

You have my sympathies man, is it all sorted now because of the tube or is there still some residual pain?

Scarlett. 03-01-2015 07:01 PM

I'm still a bit sore, but on the mend now, a bit of bed rest is all I need now :D
