Exactly as I've been saying in other threads - there is no way that the people who strapped a bomb to this girl and sent her out to blow herself up are "religious men". They have their agendas but they have nothing to do with religion. They just twist and use other people's blind faith as a weapon. Islam is the tool, it is not the cause. That should be increasingly obvious with sickening incidents like this one.

Also I agree with arista. This is in many ways so much more shocking and tragic than the incident in Paris but will it get anywhere near the same sort of news coverage? As in, blanket coverage lasting days? Of course not. That should tell us plenty, too.

This is not untrue. The Old Testament is exceptionally violent and encourages exceptional violence. Most modern faiths consider most of it to be allegorical though... for their own convenience in my opinion, because human nature is actually more gentle than religious doctrine and most people in the modern world can't stomach that ****.

Any faith that seeks to interpret the bible literally can only really be quite brutal. Not just Islam, of course... all of the Abrahamic religions.

Then it's not a suicide attack is it. Suicide requires a considered intention to commit suicide. It's murder, of both the child, and the victims.

It's horrific. If people feel strongly enough about their cause to use a bomb vest, then they ought to strap it on to themselves, not on to an innocent child.
