What the hell happened to the Lounge thread... There was always one in chat and games, and now they're all locked...

the chat threads are all moved to the Private section in Chat and Games now Linda, for members with 100+ posts

They got taken over by what used to be the Den/Zoo/Cabin/whatever bloody else there's been :p there've been like 20 this year alone LOL

(but yes i miss there being 3 different ones too - the neutral TiBB lounge for the odd popping-in and sharing of personal stuff/where you've been etc, and the two faction-ish chat threads for idle chat)

Can we please keep this. I always found it a nice way to chat to new members too... so they can get to know the regs.

They won't be able to do that in a private area. It's rather elitist.

We had soooooooo many trolls and multi's when it was out here.

It has been better in the private section

I guess we could have one in the main chat and games section, but i'll have to double check it with the others. They were only moved because of problems we were having with multis and privacy invasions, people felt a bit better about personal stuff being posted in a more private area

Meh, I just ignore trolls/multis.

This was always a good neutral place for anyone to chat. I got to know loads of people in this thread that I probably wouldn't have encountered otherwise.

That's a good point, we can leave it open for now and unless I get out voted by the other mods/admin

People should just be careful not to post anything too personal here. It's a good place for general chit-chat.

To be honest, privacy invasion is gonna happen whether you have a private chat area or not. It doesn't take long to notch up 100 posts so you can get access to all that info if you have trolling in mind.

I tend not to share anything too personal anywhere public online.

If you get outvoted.. we'll send the boys round.. :p

The TiBB Lounge came before (remember it when I signed up in 2007) what's now 'Canada' tbh, they should change if anything :fist:

Most in the Lounge don't want the "Lounge" title anyways :p

yeah just go with the subtitle that's always in brackets anyway, like Kings Landing or w/e the past ones have been subtitled
