I can't understand at all why they are so hated.
If people just aren't interested in them or find them boring, or just don't find them entertaining as housemates or if they just find them irritating or something that's fair enough, everybody finds different housemates entertaining.
But I've seen them getting called, nasty, manipulative, vindictive, cruel, spiteful absolute bitches etc and I just don't see what they've done that is so nasty or malicious?
Is it because they didn't want their ration of 2 eggs each to go into a cake? - they were very hungry, on rations, and didn't steal anybody else's eggs, if 2 of the boys said they hadn't had any eggs I don't see why the twins get the blame for the boys not using their own rations from the previous boxes of eggs. They were just sticking to their 2 egg portion and also kept 2 eggs for Eileen but I didn't hear anybody call Eileen a bitch for keeping 2 eggs.
Is it because they shouted a lot in the debate task? - a lot of the housemates did and they were defending themself against the other team who were attacking them for the reasons they were giving for picking people in what was meant to be a game. Amy was in tears herself after it in the diary room because she didn't mean to get too caught up the game and wasn't trying to hurt anybody. The majority of housemates seemed to be shouting quite a bit but everyone was friendly again only a few hours later and playing truth or dare.
Is it because of their reaction to Nick and Jades conversation about nominations being played back to them? The way they saw it, Jade took a dislike to them and gave them looks from the instant they came down the stairs on launch night, they see Nick as a young 19 year old boy who they got along fine with, they know he fancies Jade and that she she doesn't fancy him but then get to hear a conversation being played back which Jade STARTS by asking who would Nick pick and says she would pick them and they care too much what the public think of them etc. Nick is immediately apologetic whereas Jade initially laughs when they get in trouble. They interpret this conversation as her clearly trying to influence Nick against them as they feel she already doesn't like them and he has to start the ball rolling on noms each week by nominating face to face.
(I don't think Jade deserves all the blame for nom talk, I also think she was clear with Nick it was just friendship, I'm not convinced she was trying to influence his nominations as they were both just drunk and chatting, but I'm just trying to see what it looks like from the housemates point of view and (excluding Sarah) to a large amount of housemates NOT just the twins, they saw Nick as being young and being influenced by Jade into talking about nominations/saw it as some sort of gameplaying on Jade's part.)
Knowing how the twins and a lot of housemates interpreted the situation and especially because the comments where about the twins specifically, and considering the fact that the whole house got their cosmetics removed (the twins love their cosmetics) on top of already being really really hungry, is it any wonder that in that immediate aftermath the twins got angry and reacted?
So they said she was a 2 faced bitch and told her "the feeling is mutual" don't like you either etc. Nothing hugely over the top for an angry reaction. They didn't square up to her, they didn't get all up into her face screaming at her, they didn't insult her appearance, they just reacted to the situation that had just presented itself.
The next day when she went to talk to them, they didn't shout at all, when she asked to talk, one of them even asked if she would prefer to talk to them individually or together which I found considerate as maybe they thought she would find it easier to face one person at a time rather than face 2. Jade chose to speak to them both together. They calmly explained to her why they were so annoyed, that they believe she was trying to influence Nick against them, when Jade started going on about no connections one of them said something like "well that could of being worked on or fixed over time(?)", but they fully believe she was trying to influence Nick.
Because of this belief and because they already felt that she never liked them anyways then yeah they are going to pick her as the most negative things in tasks where they have to choose most manipulative or whatever, they are going to think she is fake and there will definitely be bitching on BOTH sides from now on, but I just don't see anything over the top nasty/malicious/bullying etc. about the twins.
Maybe people just don't like how red their faces get or how loud they shout or the swearing when they are angry. I don't mind people shouting or being very loud if I can see the reason behind the anger, but I get that some people just hate that and prefer quieter people who don't shout or swear when angry. That reason I could understand but still don't think it makes them nasty malicious bitches for having a loud temper.
I find Eileen a wee bit bitchier than them but again nothing over the top either. They may turn out to become bitchy or nasty in future episodes, who know? But from what we've seen so far I just don't understand the hate and the accusations of them being mega bitches comes from.
