Bumped Into Violently - What Would You Do?

One thing which makes me laugh when watching 'Action' films, is when during a chase on foot, the pursued guy always violently knocks people aside and they don't react ie; shouting or even giving chase. What compounds this 'unrealistic' B.S. is when shortly after, the pursuer violently knocks the same people aside and they STILL don't react.

If you were violently barged into in the above manner, what would you do?

rubymoo 22-09-2015 08:51 AM

If i were knocked to the ground i'd probably be shocked, too shocked to react, if i were pushed or shoved i'd probably shout 'oi' i wouldn't give chase, unless they stole my bag!

And i reserve my foul language and shouting for when i'm behind the wheel of my car:laugh:

I would probably apologise

Kizzy 22-09-2015 08:59 AM

:joker: yes I apologise (there's that wiggly line again :/) too, then I tell myself off for saying sorry. Then I mumble for about 20 mins about what I would do if there was an action replay.

rubymoo 22-09-2015 09:06 AM

 that's definitely a British trait to apologise (there goes spell check again:laugh:)

Kizzy i also replay things in my head, for a better outcome, have you ever watched the film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, it's about a person with an over active imagination, i film for people who think a lot:)

Usually give a two fingered salute and a few choice words.

If it's an accident then I would politely tell them to watch where they are chuffing walking in future..whilst smiling sweetly of course.

Livia 22-09-2015 10:03 AM

I like to think I'd drag the ignorant ****er at least part of the way down with me. Or at least get him in the back of the head with a flying shoe as he makes off.

Laughs. I hate to say it but I'd probably do that too.

Yeah, same here re a few choice words. Think giving chase would probably be a bit futile, but would depend on if I thought I had a chance of catching them. I am more likely to give chase if I see them knock someone else down though, it would make me more angry than them knocking me to the kerb.

I wish I could say I would stand up and confront him, but the above post^ is unfortunately the probable reality.
