Is anybody else finding the twist far-fetched?

I don't know, but it just feels a tad contrived to me. Like how it's all working together perfectly. How the Others have connections with the main housemates and vice versa yet they applied to be on BB the same year. The main housemates talking about the Other they are connected with in depth during the audition process - like why would anybody go on about their ex or old friend when applying for BB? Chelsea and Jayne supposedly falling out a few weeks ago when the BB auditions were months ago?

Visage 09-06-2016 10:15 PM

I can't figure out how they've made the connections.

Did they headhunt Jason because they had secured Charlie, or vice versa?

The same goes for the other two.

Then again I don't understand how the housemates are not aware of a second house when it's been on social media for a good few months.

Ross. 09-06-2016 10:15 PM

The main housemates not even questioning who is actually targeting them

Ashley. 09-06-2016 10:15 PM

It's all just a little bit strange.

andybigbro 09-06-2016 10:17 PM

Yeah it is very strange

Id be really anoyed if it's all fake

LukeB 09-06-2016 10:17 PM

I agree, Jayne and Chelsea falling out just before BB started made me think how is that even possible and a tad strange. I don't think the all the housemates know just the ones who have connections.

Ashley. 09-06-2016 10:17 PM

I still think the twist was unnecessary anyway to be honest, you could have just sent the twelve housemates in on Tuesday, the three connections on Friday and still get the same effect. I know they've put a lot of money and effort into the second house but I just find it pointless.

Exactly. I mean you could even tell by the fact that the stairs had two ways on launch night and they went through one way. It just doesn't feel right at all.

In terms of the head hunt thing that would mean one of them would have to have known about the other - which they didn't cause Charlie didn't know Jason was in the main house till they showed the VT and well the main don't know about the Others so Jason doesn't know about Charlie

LukeB 09-06-2016 10:21 PM

How can they not hear Ryan shouting his mouth off?

bots 09-06-2016 10:21 PM

It is all contrived and given that the 2nd house was being built and known about for months, the main house would need to have no brain cells at all to not acknowledge its existence .... at all

I believe all bar 2? of the housemates were invited to take part in the show, so its all been manufactured over the last few months to fit a story line

Yes, it's almost like they are taking the mickey out of the viewers.

It's all very cloak & dagger by the way they've put this to us.

Also another thing r.e Chelsea and Jayne falling out a few weeks back - let's say they fell out 2 or 3 weeks ago for instance (cause Jayne kept implying it was quite recent). Surely the housemates get the call that they've become Big Brother housemates about a 4/5 weeks prior to the launch (sometimes even longer), so they hadn't even fallen out when they found out they were housemates unless C5 recruited them last minute or something.

Am I overthinking this? :worry:

Don't you also find it a little convenient that these are all very recent "relationships" in the last few weeks, all after they knew they were going to be on the show

Marsh. 09-06-2016 10:28 PM

Yeah, didn't Jason split up with the botox queen just recently?

Marsh. 09-06-2016 10:29 PM

I hate that this sh*te show is masquerading under the guise of Big Brother.

Good point. They could've gotten people who'd split up like 3 years ago or something - that would also make them more surprised given they probably haven't seen them in years.

Judging by how 'recent' these relationships were they were probably all still together when the eye was revealed :idc:

I'm more and more convinced that some housemates are just paid to play a role by the producers. It's inevitable.

Cal. 09-06-2016 10:37 PM

I find it really contrived also. But I've never understood how they manage to get people related on the same show without each other knowing. It seems scripted to me?

And the housemates have probably spoken about a second house but they're literally hiding everything from us this year apart from what appears in the highlight shows so they can literally present us with anything they want.

hot2go 09-06-2016 10:40 PM

Love the others twist but couldn't care less about the estranged couples....i hope it doesn't give those three the advantage over Natalie, Andrew and Hughe...

Clock it!

Probably why they axed the nightly LF this series then :bored:

Drew. 09-06-2016 10:45 PM

This year more than they've ever done before they're doing their best to make sure fans have less knowledge of whats going on and being said in the house. Hardly any updates or decent videos and rushed highlights. It's almost like they're doing their hardest to make sure we don't find out things

They're doing a crap job tbf

Wizard. 09-06-2016 10:53 PM

I thought all Others would have had connections it's very random that only 3 do.

Well yes, that's a great point Ross. :joker:

Jason. 09-06-2016 10:55 PM

Yeah they're just being nominated randomly and they're like "ah well...what's for dinner". Who do they think is behind it all?
