I don't think now there is anyone who may be involved in the negotiations when they ever get started in years to come, who now sees coming out of the single market as wise.
I fear you heading is way off the mark at present and far too premature too.

Interesting you say England only,as if Wales and Northern Ireland don't exist in the UK.

Wales and Northern Ireland are still part of the UK, whatever Scotland does will affect them too not just England.
Just saying.

 You really ARE 'Most Wise' Arista. The benefits of 'The Single Market' are a complete myth and we do not NEED it.

Note:

For all RANDY young bi men; Get your pulsing loins into the EU where there are 500 million oportunities for you - POTENTIALLY of course - I mean, obviously, they all have to WANT what you're offering, and with the expectation that they PREFER to get it elsewhere.

"You really ARE 'Most Wise' Arista. The benefits of 'The Single Market' are a complete myth and we do not NEED it."

I Thank You Kirk

Well I don't own my own business (very thankfully at the moment, as most who do are ****ed) but as for the industry I'm in... It's gambling. People will bet pounds, dollars, euros, gold dubloons, chickens, bundles of unprocessed wheat tied together with string... Kirk will tell you that :joker:

And you know what recession does? Makes people poorer, so they become more desperate for money, so they think "Hmmmm I'll gamble even more so I can win more".

Its a horrible parasite of an industry, it really is.

Of course we aren't going to leave the Single Market, anybody who thinks we will has no understanding of how much we need it.

Johnnyuk123 29-06-2016 11:14 AM

Those that voted to remain in the EU were proven wrong, so i would take it with a very large pinch of salt from them for thinking that leaving the single market would be a disaster. These are the same people that think Corbyn's gonna win the next general election. Talk about out of touch with the people of the UK.:idc:

No one has been "proven" anything, yet. Those who voted remain were proven to be a slight minority, and that is all.

Bang On Right TS.

Kizzy 29-06-2016 12:00 PM

The only thing proven is that we are substantially worse of as a nation than we were last week.

The term 'cutting off your nose to spite your face' comes to mind.

So a deal has been done that Teresa May takes the reins until 2020 at which point Boris steps in? So no snap GE as they know they would not win outright with May in charge, I guess she is happy to take the flak as she will then have a salary for life once she steps down :idc:

Just a question, will you actually accept a new PM who has over 3 years to run not seeking election for his new govt and plans from the Country again.

You made very forceful and rightful attacks on Gordon Brown for not going to the Country after taking over from Tony Blair.
How since now it will be a Conservative PM and change, should it be right or acceptable for, him/her to just carry on governing and not be forced to seek a new mandate.

Dezzy is the more right by the way, I cannot see any negotiators not wanting to stay in the single market, no matter who becomes PM now.

arista 29-06-2016 12:10 PM

So it is fine when the Conservative party do it but not Labour.
That's a big disappointing and surprising reply from you after all you said correctly about Brown.
So now it seems 2 wrongs can make a right after all.

Well I think Gordon Brown should have gone the Country within a year of the change and I think so should this next PM.

Even moreso with this exit from the EU to be seen through.

"Democracy! Democracy has won! You have to respect that 52% of people voted for this and this is DEMOCRACY. You don't understand democracy so just put up and shut up!"

"OK. But are you OK with a PM being in place for three years without a General Election?"

"Yeh what's wrong with that."

(Edited to add: Before anyone starts banging on about us electing MPs / Parties and not Prime Ministers, I call bull****. UK elections are now almost entirely presidential.)

And it's fine that it's the party if not the very man that wiped trillions from the global economy?.....yeah, totally fine with all that :/
