http://media.skynews.com/media/image...-1-736x414.jpg
http://news.sky.com/story/1721048/to...e-terror-alert A lady phoned the Police and said he was from "isis" "a panicky hotel clerk in the Cleveland suburb of Avon falsely reported last week that the Arab businessman had pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group." The Gentleman is in USA for Hospital treatment http://media.skynews.com/media/image...-1-589x442.jpg He had a Slight Heart problem and was rushed to Hospital He is safe now The Police have Body Cams They said Sorry to the gentleman Trump is not president Yet |
Of course it's obvious, it's all Trumps fault, there's absolutely nothing else it could be is there?
Is there? |

The Current President uses Trump as the reason |
Better a hundred false alarms through paranoia than a hundred dead bodies through apathy.

For Sure |
I hope she's been charged for wasting police time.

These false incidents won't stop an actual terrorist attack from happening, there's no link between the two. All incidents like this achieve is a deeper divide between muslims and everyone else and that's ultimately what Isis want. |
Of the FBI's ten most wanted terrorists, nine of them are Arabic Muslim men. You can't turn a blind eye to that. And while it's not good that innocent people are being tackled, it's inevitable.

"I hope she's been charged for wasting police time."
I agree |
...jeez, how terrifying for him..I wonder why she phoned two of her family members, yet didn't raise alarm directly with the police if she felt that he actually had pledged allegiance to ISIS...also terrifying that sadly, a trigger could have been pulled first and he could have been injured or lost his life...

..the police acted on the information they received, that's not really the worrying bit for me... it's more that someone was wearing their cultural clothing, which they obviously would..as any of us would and indeed do when travelling overseas...and that and that alone terrified someone into imagining...'allegiance for ISIS..'...that terror could have resulted in a physical injury or even in a loss of life..../those are 'precautions' too far and extreme in themselves because of the potential consequences....

Arabic people shouldn't be treated with suspicion just because Isis exists. We don't act like all Irish people are going to go around shooting people just because the IRA, we don't report Catholics any time they are seen near a child because we think that their faith means they are going to abuse them. There's a difference between being aware and alert and thinking anyone with brown skin is instantly a terrorist and treating them as such. This man did nothing suspicious and he got manhandled and treated like a terrorist for having the wrong colour skin and wearing the clothes of his country. |

Its certainly not the police's fault, they acted bravely as the man could have had a suicide vest on for all they knew?
the fault lies with ISIS |

I think unless people are the actual target of racial profiling they're not going to see anything wrong with it. It's like a thread that was started here a while back where men were being profiled as potential paedophiles because the majority of paedophiles are men and they weren't allowed go into theme parks alone. Just because most paedophiles are men doesn't mean that most men are paedophiles..........the same logic applies here imo yet some people agree with one and not the other
|
Well i mean if you're gonna walk round America with all that lot on its inevitably going to attract attention or arouse suspicion.Like with the burka and all that stuff muslim women wear. You don't know what could be strapped under those robes.Atleast with a shirt or sweater you'd be able to see the bumps from the belt under.Robes are a different story.
