With respect though Ammi, by your own statement, isn't he the one in fact who is indeed 'not' masking the negative side to him, since you clearly see how he does wind up, goad and annoy the others and it is shown in the highlights by BB, not him, every night.
He does not edit and dictate what it is put in the highlights, BB can ignore and dismiss anything that goes on if they wished to.
He admits the negatives to himself and, in my opinion, has played the wind up merchant to near perfection.
The others are the ones who have reacted to him almost every time he does, even with that full knowledge that he is winding them up.
Perhaps then, seeing him and how he goes on.
Had it been a series without him being as he is, maybe we would not have been shown the negative sides to the others,being therefore left with a false impression of how they think and in fact really are.
