If you could go back 10 years and talk to yourself...

... What could you tell your younger self that they would NEVER have believed?

About yourself or about the world in general.

This question has come from me just looking out the window and thinking;

If someone (attractive to me) came to my house right now and offered me the option of either sex, OR them mowing and trimming the garden for me... I would be seriously leaning towards the latter.

21 year old TS would be having words with me :joker:.

But yeah... Share yours, I'm interested! Maybe you're dat now and skinny young you would be horrified. Maybe you were a total ****-up but now you're pursuing the career of your dreams. Maybe you lost a hand in an industrial accident. It's all good.

(We'll call it 5 years for some of the younger members since I think some of you were in nappies 10 years ago...)

It could be about something that's happened or that you've done. But the rules are... It's not that you can tell yourself in order to change anything, the way things are going is set, so it's not like "Oh avoid [blah]"... Just something that would make your younger self say "OMG no wayz!"

I was going to say, that I'd rather sit in front of the TV/fire with a glass of wine than go out..........but I was always pretty into my comforts so that probably wouldn't surprise me at all :laugh:

I would have to go back further than 10 years, 10 years ago I was engaged with a 6 and 2 year old :laugh:

I would tell myself to still go on the path I choose to whatever that may be but one thing I have already learned is be more careful who you end up giving respect to and feel you can trust.
So I would warn myself against probable fair weather friends who are more likely false but don't show that at times until a fair/long way down the line.

A fair point, I forget how old people are... ... ... Actually forget how old I am because I was probably thinking more "18 year old me" but I wasn't even a teenager 10 years ago :umm2:.

OK, I'm going to get at these things somehow. If you could talk to yourself at 18...

Place a bet on Helen wood winning big brother, you'll make a fortune

That's true. I was a carefree singleton living in halls at 20... And at 22 I was engaged with a baby on the way and crippling anxiety about a council tax bill :umm2:

It's actually possible for two white parents to have a black child, if there is genetic ancestry even as far back as four generations. You never know LT!
