Does it matter what way have mirror?

The mirror in my room is pretty plain, same design all way round. Use to have it vertical but now it's horizontal, does it matter what way a mirror goes?

It's like 150cm one side and like 90 cm the other.

It likes this in terms of design, very simple:

No think way matters

_Tom_ 17-11-2016 11:24 PM

It would look a bit weird on its side, and you wouldn't be able to see yourself in it properly?

Doesn't matter to me in my house, regardless I still have to almost kneel down to look in one because I'm almost 6ft8"!

Might want to fix your title... I'm guessing this is about portrait versus landscape mirror setups?

Will, I literally have a mirror like this (black edge) on our granite countertops in-between our double sinks... I prefer it to a fixed mirror, it looks so nice tipped... have a smaller one next to behind hubby's sink so he can use it for minor things (and for ambiance )

I use horizontal for entry ways or living spaces... but depends on the room and purpose. I like portrait in the bedrooms.

I guess if you want a more technical manual to this sort of thing, look up feng shui to find the appropriate orientation for chi?

I can see just above my knees.

Yeah it's portrait in my bedroom wall.

I think it should stay landscape because I think it would take up too much of the wall space the other way around!

Get a little cabinet or something to put under it! ;)

Thanks! Yeah I had it the other way before but the wall is a little bad behind the mirror after I had my room decorated so it looks better this way.

I quite like how it goes off the wall a bit.

:)

That looks fine, the one in the link wouldn't have looked good on its side because of the size - but yours looks perfect imo

Marsh. 17-11-2016 11:37 PM

It's too big for that wall either way. It's overlapping the chimney breast. Get a new one. :hee:

Oh piss off.

It's quite edgy how it's a bit big but like it still fits because of it being a chimney breast.

Yeah that is a nice touch. Now if only the frame were decked out. It would really stand out as a centerpiece in the room.

I love mirrors.

It's bigger than the width of the chimney breast. :oh:

I understand your pain from a different POV... I'm only 5'

Though if you're male, that's a huge disadvantage in terms of dressing options. At least if you're a female, there are 50 choices of dress shops versus a man... who maybe has one or two comparitively

I still have a hard time finding clothes though because most American clothes are higher in size due to most having more of an average height, larger frame. So usually I have to pay $$$. On the other hand, in Asia I would fit in splendidly....
