US-based Muslim preacher who allegedly advocated killing gay people

Can someone explain to me why they are happy to let this man into the UK,but have signed a petition to stop Trump getting in ?

A US-based Muslim preacher who allegedly advocated killing gay people is giving a lecture series in London after being allowed to enter the UK.
The Home Office has been urged to retract the visa of Hamza Sodagar who is giving a series of lectures in the capital city between 3*October and 12 October.

That's true, the fact that there are more people signing the Trump petition doesn't mean people see it as a bigger issue, it's just that it gets more attention. Trumps petition is the main story on the BBC News website for example whereas this isn't something that's too well known. So it's not as though the people who have signed the Trump petition, but not signed a petition to stop this man, have done so because they're happy with him entering.

Because this isn't being covered in the news? It's honestly such a weak way of defending Trump whilst trying to discredit his detractors.

I hope there is a petition to stop this hate preacher from entering the UK, I'd sign it.

I have never said I am a Trump supporter and I am not defending him,I just find it weird that people like that person advocating death is allowed in but Trump isn't it doesn't mean I am supporting anyone.

FFS people, read the link... this is old news that was all over Twitter and FB
last year. They were talking about last October and not this October.

I signed the petition (yes there was one) to retract Hamza Sodagars visa and there were enough signatures for this to get debated in parliament. Unfortunately, our neo-liberal government, as usual, didn't listen to the voice of the people.

Well, that puts a new spin on it, thanks for that.

The question is, why isn't it in the mainstream news? what's the reason? is there an agenda?

We pay for this service, we just want a fair and truthful service.

Remember the cover up in Rotherham?, or the year's of covering up of Jimmy Saville and co?

The internet is now the place for real news, on Twitter and YouTube. Which is why the institutions in power are now trying to censor it.

Because Trump is currently one of the highest-profile people on the entire planet. If not THE most.

The date of the story doesn't matter.

When Jimmy Saville was finally outed, that was also old news, because now he was dead.

Do the mainstream news have an agenda? or do the deliver an impartial service? And if they do have an agenda, what is their agenda?

You really couldn't make up such a blatant double standard.

So politics before safety.

DemolitionRed 06-02-2017 06:10 PM

You people really are scraping the bottom of the barrel on this one

People did protest... people did petition... it was discussed in Parliament.
