I dislike movies that have multiple musical numbers in them or just plain musicals.

Marsh. 16-02-2017 12:15 PM

Brad Pitt is overrated and kind of a limited actor.

Is he over-rated though? I mean yeah he's very famous but I don't think he's widely considered to be especially talented.

Will Smith is another one for me. I find him charismatic and enjoyable to watch. He can easily carry a film. But can he act? I don't think I've ever seen him play anyone other than... Will Smith.

Jennifer Lawrence... Def over rated. An Oscar, multiple other awards... Has no one noticed that she can't act??

user104658 16-02-2017 12:27 PM

Oh here's one...

James Bond films are boring. They just are. It's not even that I dislike them, I actually find them interesting enough. In chunks. But I've never managed to sit through one, in one sitting, and not fall asleep at some point.

user104658 16-02-2017 12:27 PM

All of the Bourne films since the first one are awful.

user104658 16-02-2017 12:29 PM

Batman vs Superman...

if you watch the directors cut and ignore the "Martha" scene and Lois going full weetod and disposing of the kryptonite spear by simply throwing it into a pool... Where ANYONE could get it... ...

... Is one of the best superhero movies ever made.

Calderyon 16-02-2017 12:31 PM

Melissa McCarthy isnīt funny. Or a good actress.

Titanic is sh**e

agree with TS about Brad Pitt, I don't he was ever rated as a fantastic actor just a big draw for films what with him being very pretty. He does play some roles very well though like mental patient (12 monkeys) stoner (True Romance)

Good choice. I like her and think she can act, but again very limited to one archetype.

How dare you! Titanic is iconic. Yes it is objectively bad but, also, it is brilliant.

He's also a good Tyler Durden but, again, I wouldn't say he's really "acting" and also Tyler Durden is a very two dimensional character, a caricature really, by design
Spoiler:

as he isn't actually a full character, he's a small piece of Edward Norton's character, so isn't SUPPOSED to have depth. But yes was chosen for the role based on his looks / body as he's the "idealised" image that Norton character is supposed to have of himself.

I actually think that's been a pretty popular opinion for years. Somewhere around 10 years ago it started being a guilty pleasure and people wouldn't admit to having liked it.

That's not an unpopular opinion, everyone knows that.

It's a funny one. The script is frigging terrible and James Cameron is such a bad writer.

But I can't help but enjoy the spectacle of the last 2 hours. It was really well made and the effects still hold up today, just a shame they didn't get an actual good writer to do the script.

:clap1:

I think Skyfall is the only one I can say I enjoyed all of the way through. I couldn't even tell you why. It's an anomaly.

Clueless is the greatest film of all time.

Exactly. Titanic is thoroughly in "so bad I'd watch it forever" territory. Me and th'wife watch it at least once a year :joker:.

"Love Actually" also falls into this category. ABYSMAL film if you think about it too hard. But when it comes on at Xmas do I watch the **** out of it? Of course I do! Even though it has Keira Knightly, who is the 2nd most irritating actor in the world, only beaten by

[new unpopular opinion]

Winona ****ing Ryder. Who is THE most annoying actor in history.

Not in the US, it seems because majority seems to love her.

Marsh. 16-02-2017 12:54 PM

Omg, Keira Knightley. Yes, the worst part of Pirates of the Caribbean. :clap1:

The way she over enunciates everything bugs the sh*t out of me.

Yeah I suppose in a way Ty;er Durden fits in with me examples, he's good at playing not very serious jokey type characters, it's like he lacks the emotional depth to play a serious character in a believable way

Oh God no, I have guilty pleasure movies but Titanic isn't one of them. I've only ever watched it once and will never watch it again

Her's one that might be controversial..........Robert DeNiro, as good an actor as he is, isn't very versatile imo Every role he plays he comes across the same to me. Al pacino is a far superior actor imo as is Daniel Day Lewis

 No, I meant for the people that like it. Even they know it's bad so it becomes a guilty pleasure. Once the hype ended and a few years passed people didn't look back too kindly on it. Lmao.
