You only lose an hour tomorrow morning, going to bed an hour earlier tonight will solve the problem

At 1:00 if I'm correct

I'm not having the pub close an hour early at 12 :nono:

Deirdre 25-03-2017 05:18 PM

who decides this? it doesn't make much sense to me. is it just UK and Ireland that do it?

T* 25-03-2017 05:21 PM

When it's sunny at 9PM

Greg! 25-03-2017 05:22 PM

They should just move the clocks forward by half an hour and then never change them again.

ebandit 26-03-2017 08:27 AM

....and of course there are my watches...15 adjusted so far....mechanical types can
wait until i next wear

...no clocks in my home

..........alas this would not fit into 'world time' minutes are consistent it's

hours which vary +/- depending on longitudinal positioning east/west

The point of turning the clock back/forward makes sense if you are a farmer way up North.
It goes back to give a bit more light through the winter when it is much needed, then goes forward when we don't.

ebandit 26-03-2017 11:41 AM

...makes zero sense..........farmers should get up/work when it's light not by hour

of the clock
