THIS year’s Big Brother is set to be a gayfest.

Bosses plan to carry on camping right through the summer by lining up more gays than ever in the BB house.

They have examined previous years’ shows and found gay and lesbian housemates provided the best footage and most talked-about moments.

So the final line-up, set to be unveiled when the series begins next month, will include more gays than ever before.

At least half of the 14 housemates have revealed they are homosexual or have bisexual tendencies.

A show insider said: “We desperately want Big Brother 8 to be remembered for camp fun and frolics rather than fights and fisticuffs.

“We want to get away from the Celebrity Big Brother race row with Jade and Shilpa.

“And we want to avoid another Fight Night where even the police had to be called. Some of our best contestants in previous years have been gay.

“We’ve even had lesbo kisses, queer romances and bitchy handbags-at-dawn showdowns.

“Brian Dowling was the first gay champion of a reality TV show back in 2001 and then we had transsexual Nadia Almada winning in 2004.

“We have come to realise that gay people are less inhibited. They love a good bitch and they know how to poke fun and have a laugh.

‘They also make up a huge percentage of our audience and voting targets.

“It’s on course to be our best show yet and will hopefully be remembered as a long, hot summer of brotherly gay love.”

Big Brother 8, hosted by Davina McCall, 39, is set to run for 13 weeks – as long as last year.

Insiders say a real mixed bag of housemates has been chosen.

They are rumoured to include a Greek art student, an Asian teacher, a disabled woman and a gobby chav. BB bosses are also looking at copying a stunt already used in Australia’s version of the show.

Once the contestants have entered the BB house, six others dressed in white enter a room decked out all in white.

The two who win the endurance test to see who can stand living in a “world of white” the longest get to go in the main house.

I agree the fact gay people were cool and really fun !
But I doubt all the cast contains only gay people. I think BB8 will not last 13 weeks and they will not copy the Australian "White Room".
Maybe there will be more gay people like 5 or 6 but ot more.

There is always going to be a Gay person somewhere, (Token Gay) & all that! The same goes with a coloured person. There is always one or more.

These are rules, but to have a swarm of particular type may affect ratings and ratings bring in money

Money makes the show go round, just like the world.

The article mentioned at least half of the total number would be gay. I think this is all just rumours again. Interesting that they mentioned a disabled person also, which has been subject to some debate on here.

Rubbish, how is that a "real mixed bag of housemates" when the article has just claimed that half of the housemates will be gay. I don't believe a word of it.

I think they just made this up to stir interest. I found a bit of Big Brother "news" in the Sun. It was basically along the lines of "Big Brother is starting, know any of the housemates? Let us know"... Kinda funny really...

They wouldn't even be saying all that at this stage anyway!

As ever, the run up to a new series of Big Brother is heralded with the threat of live sex.

So it’s not just going to be boy-girl sex but gay sex and, possibly, a gay orgy.

“DOES BIG BROTHER NEED MORE GAY HOUSEMATES?” asks the Star. Readers are invited to give their answers via the phone, calling numbers for “Yes”, “No” and “I’m free”.

But no matter what you think, the Star says the show’s “bosses” have examined old footage and found gay and lesbian housemates to be the most entertaining.

Who knew, eh? Who knew that Danielle Lloyd, Jade Goody, Jo O’Meara and even Shilpa Shetty were all lesbians? And what of George Galloway MP? You really cannot tell.

With the Others in the main house, six other contestants will dress in white and enter a white room. The two agonists who can last longest in this “world of white” will go into the house proper.

The fear is these contestants will have learned from the last Big Brother show, find the white house to their liking and never want to leave…

i know the word coloured is considered racist but when i was little i always used thatword because i thought black shouede racist but i have heard that people dont like to be called coloured.
