Biggest disappointment so far?

Didn't really know much about her beforehand but from what I'd heard and from her vt and entrance I thought she'd be a good housemate. Instead she's stayed completely in the background and hardly been involved. I can't really remember her featuring on the highlights at all, not even having an interesting chat with anyone. Even bloody Barry and Derek contributed more tonight when they were choosing which housemates to shred.

Marsh. 07-08-2017 10:00 PM

Bad editing. They always exclude housemates.

Jase. 07-08-2017 10:00 PM

Either her or Shaun.

bots 07-08-2017 10:00 PM

have to agree, i had high hopes for her and she has been very ordinary

BBUK-Fan 07-08-2017 10:00 PM

It's down to the editing. They want to keep showing Sam and Jordan and Sarah.

Cherie 07-08-2017 10:01 PM

Someone was snoring when Sarah and Paul were arguing, Was it her  if it was was its her biggest contribution

We want ordinary celebs. Not here for Z Listers

Shaun 07-08-2017 10:01 PM

Nah I'm bored to ****ing tears of people writing off the ones that're never edited into contrived romance or feuding storylines as "bores", it's sf repetitive.

Amy Jade 07-08-2017 10:02 PM

Yeah she has been tbh

Marissa has been mine though, I had big hopes she would be firey but she's been pretty meh

:clap1:

Are people honestly wanting her to wade into the middle of an argument or start putting the moves on Chad?

When they say disappointed, what on earth were they wanting?

i'm all for normal, but, so far she just hasn't featured. There is time yet of course. The reason she is a disappointment is she has much more to her than the awful z listers who are non starters

Maybe because there's nothing in there for her to be fiery about?

It would be awful if she was fiery out of nowhere for the sake of it like it appears Trisha is doing.

She had the opportunity during the shredding task to make some sort of impact, she was happy to let Paul prattle on, I think she is mortified to be in there, that's how it come across

Whoever said Claire King 2.0 was right

Also repetitive to just blame the editing whenever someone is accused of being a dull housemate

Like I said even Shaun and Derek have been more involved so far than Helen. They were assertive with the shredding task today putting forward their views instead of just letting the others choose for them. Helen said next to nothing.

And she spoke up for Sarah. What more do you want her to do? Spend 10 minutes waffling on about how she might not like Sandi and why she deserves to be up?

She's a sweetheart and made some funny observations in the talent show judging task but as usual unless you're crying in the diary room or holding hands and sunbathing, you're a bore.

Not really. When someone hasn't featured at all then we have nothing to judge them on?

It's not the first time the editors have focussed in on one or two of the same storylines (showmance and feud) to the expense of everything and anything else.

How I miss the days of actually watching these people have conversations and interactions that doesn't involve screaming at one another half cut or trying to decipher bed cover movement on the infrared cam. :idc:

She's hardly getting shown tbf.

However on what I do get to see she seems to be like Shaun in being very weak willed but likable. I hope that I've not got the wrong impression of her being likable.

MTVN 07-08-2017 10:17 PM

Anyway I didn't make this thread to attack Helen, just to encourage a bit of discussion about one of the housemates who has hardly been talked about on here so far. My view is that she has been disappointing compared to how I thought she'd be and atm I'm not sure what she is going to bring to this series. Perhaps there have been things that I've missed though so if people have reasons to think she will prove herself a good housemate I'd be interested to hear them

She offered no opinion other than to back Brandi up as to Sarah's fragility, surely if someone is fragile putting them up for first eviction is counter productive, it would have been nice to hear her own opinion, she has had plenty on BOTS, and nobody ever has said holding hands is good tv :umm2:

LaLaLand 07-08-2017 10:21 PM

She's pretty much exactly how I thought she'd be tbh.

Marsh. 07-08-2017 10:21 PM

Surely evicting them would be the best thing.

Sarah is clearly an addict with other problems such as insomnia and should not be in the house.

People are also confusing her being an alcoholic with "contributing". It's quite sick in a way.

I'm hoping that Helen might be eccentric.

It's hard to tell though with the show not giving her more footage. She could be really horrible to give out the other side of the argument but we just don't know which is poor editing on Ch5's part.

I think they know she is unlikely to be evicted over three Americans, so it was mean spirited if they genuinely think she is fragile

Maybe they genuinely want Sarah out regardless of that?

Her being "fragile" isn't a free pass. That's her mess, she put herself in the show.
