Is big brother fixed?
 

A few former housemates re convinced that the show is FIXED for 1 or more housemates to get special airtime and the voting system is rigged! do you believe its fixed?

I think some of it is

No. It's illegal

That wouldn't stop them. People do things illegally, just because it's illegal doesn't mean they won't do it

It will stop them because they will get caught, it's not like selling drugs when it's likely you won't get caught. I assume there's special people who check everything.

No, of course not. What would they possibly gain by fixing it? This happens every year when people's faves don't win.

to all those saying no with such indignation, there is plenty evidence to show that its manipulated, that's fact. Extreme manipulation is the same as fixing so it is closer to being fixed, than not. Voting, is but one small part of it

The show is manipulated. No BB16 they flipped noms to save Jade - they gave Kim, Jess and Chloe immunity TWICE for no apparent reason - but fixed no - the public vote is always and has always been honest

But it can be manipulated for a certain result, but that's only with the footage shown/lack of etc.

They can try to keep their faves in with the edit etc (so that would be manipulated) but it definitely isn’t fixed:hee:

I totally agree that they edit the show and introduce twists to favour certain housemates, but that's not the same as fixing!

I think BB do 'engineer' results of evictions and winners by selective editing,yes to that.

It is wrong in my view, to not ensure all housemates get equal airtime on highlights programming.
What is deemed boring to the BB editing team may not be to the public.

For me,showmances and indeed most romantic storylines are sickening and extremely boring now.
However once they begin,they take over the highlights every night.

No. The votes are not fixed - shows like Big Brother get investigated all the time, so I'm sure we'd know if it was.

Agreed- but people believe THIS is fixing. It isn't. Messing with the votes is, not allowing some housemates to have more airtime than others isn't.

I wouldn't say it was 'fixed' but its engineered and jiggled to go the way BB want , i'm sure Shaun , Helen and Derek did things worthy of showing but the rows and mess are what viewers want so production pump exactly that out , so its no surprise the people think its fixed - cos it is ... and then the voting public stick it right up em ! and how glorious is that.:dance::dance::dance::dance:

Actually the question should be Is it fixed ? Or is it ****ed ???

I love how people only say it's fixed when the person they don't want to win ends up winning :think:

Is it fixed? No. Is it manipulated? Yes.
