How has 2017 been for you?

And out of 10, how would you rate it?

smudgie 03-12-2017 11:38 AM

I would rate my year as a five this year.
But it's not as bad as it sounds, just doing it mathematically.

The year has flown by in a midst of meds:joker:
I have my eyesight back which is marvellous after losing 87% of it.
We have at last made the monumental decision to move and it appears to be going smoothly, so it looks like a new adventure come Spring.
My daughter has taken the decision to come home for a good long break so that is amazing.
My baby sister died in June so not so good.
My middle sister is having tests done so a bit worrying.
All in all a very mixed year, but so many people have had a tougher year than me so no complaining here.

I put a 7. It's been one of the best in a quite a while but also the most challenging. I didn't finish my Journalism course at college which was disappointing and then there's other factors such as starting to get to grips with what being an 'adult' is like, that have been difficult at times. But I'd definitely say the good outweighs the bad. I went travelling for 6 weeks just with my friend, and is something that I'm so glad I did, and got myself a full time job at a place where it isn't easy to get into. So I should be pleased with myself for that. Oh, and I finally bought a guitar, which I'm currently learning to play. So overall, it's been a pretty mixed bag. The plan for next year is to do more travelling and hopefully find a place abroad to stay/work.

*7.5

I would give myself a 6, my personal life has been so up and down, and schoolwork has been piling on me...
On the bright side, 2017 was the year I joined this forum!

RileyH 03-12-2017 12:16 PM

Daniel. 03-12-2017 12:17 PM

Jodie. 03-12-2017 12:47 PM

Honestly 2014/2015/2016 were so **** so 2017 was a nice welcome  The only thing bad to have happened is my Nan passing away, but other than that nothing has really been bad? I’ve also changed into like a different person this year which is great so a 9 x

Summer was a hard time for me. Probably the lowest point of my life thus far... But the good things have prohibited me from losing all strength. I'd give it a 4.

After 2016 ending badly, had more bad news in January and that has only just stopped really

Eddie. 03-12-2017 02:53 PM

Am I the only one who likes 2016?!

Eddie. 03-12-2017 02:54 PM

Anyways, I'm keeping myself optimistic, 2017 isn't over yet...

joeysteele 03-12-2017 03:07 PM

Work and finance fine but I thought last year was a crusher.
This one has been the worst year certainly of my life so far.

Many likely have had a worse one than me however.

Ross. 03-12-2017 03:25 PM

Better than 2016

Ant. 03-12-2017 04:19 PM

honestly so good because my exams went ok  oh plus i got even more gorgeous, iconic, classy, smarter and stronger just when I thought I couldn't! I can't wait for 2018 to prove me wrong yet again when I become a better version of me (if i dont tho it dm because im better than everyone anyway!)

Ant. 03-12-2017 04:20 PM

Oh and Isabelle and Sarah won their series so you can bet your ASS this year has been good!

LaLaLand 03-12-2017 04:48 PM

The majority was absolutely awful.

Started well then at the end of February I fell, broke my foot, tore a ligament and nearly fractured my ankle so was in a big boot for 3 months, constant physio sessions had and am still not 100% now.

I've been to two funerals of family members and known at least 5 other people very well who have passed away this year. Also my Great Aunt (like my Nan) had to leave her flat and go into a care home.

BUT last month I became an Uncle for the first time to my beautiful little niece so I think that's the light at the end of the dark tunnel that was 2017!
