She’s clearly very scarred by her past and hasn’t quite come to terms with it. Cooping her up in a house for god knows how long doesn’t seem the best idea - you’d think her employers would be a bit more self-aware.

I feel really, really sorry for her. She is annoying, and does bring a lot of the issues that she’s faced in the house, on herself. But she clearly hasn’t quite recovered from her transition yet and that’s not the sort of role model Trans people need.

For her own sake, she needs to leave and she needs to heal.

Not as scarred as her son will be after this

Maybe they’ll both need some help to get through this.

But learning to embrace your parents new identity is one thing, being embarrassed by them on national television is one thing too (think of all the parents who have made arses of themselves on this show, it’s nothing new).

Being traumatised by your own gender identity is completely different. India has years of baggage behind her that clearly hasn’t been resolved - so yes, I’d argue she slightly edges it on the scarred past front.

It's pretty obvious she is being manipulative in order to play the victim.

Get India out!

poppsywoppsy 07-01-2018 10:21 AM

Compared to India, Lauren is a Golden Retriever pitted against a Pit Bull.

I have a soft spot for Lauren as she showed for Courtney Stoddard in their CBB. So far I have not seen one shred of compassion or empathy from India that wasn't for herself.

Totally agree with this. India has not shown any other HM any warmth or compassion. she is obsessed with bringing every subject back to her. If it's not about her she throws her toys out of the pram & storms off. Knowing Rachel from seeing her on television, she seems to be playing up to India to be politically correct rather than taking her to task on her childish behaviour.
India seems totally cold & selfish. there is nothing warm about her at all.

bots 07-01-2018 10:36 AM

She has zero empathy with those around her, that's probably the biggest problem. If she had that she would understand from her hm's reactions that she was going down the wrong path with them. Transgender may not be the issue at all, she may simply be on the spectrum

It always amuses me how someone in India's position will always get support and sympathy from some people, regardless of how rude she is, how ridiculously insincere she is and how stupid she looks. Everybody has issues in their life, you can't pretend to understand India's just because she talks about it all the time, because you have no idea what issues other people are struggling with. And after watching her on TV for less than a week that's a MASSIVE stretch to claim you know who "edges it" on the trauma front.

She has placed herself on TV and shown us all what a vain, self-centred person she is, she has said her son is really struggling with her transition, and she thought the best way to handle that would be to dress like a twenty year old on Celebrity Big Brother.

If she's looking for sympathy from me, she can find it in the dictionary between sh1t and syphilis.

Cherie 07-01-2018 10:40 AM

I think that is her personality and nothing to do with her transition, she was probably self obsessed as a male and nothing has changed on that score

I used to watch her as him reading the news a while back and he seemed okay, but you might have a point.

It's the first time we have seen this person warts and all.

very very observant - I think this will not be a good chapter in her life in the way she thought it would be. I still feel sorry for her.

She was great on BOTS, very witty and seemed fun,I was looking forward to her in the house, but she's an entirely different person

I watched her reading the news and on BBBOTS and didn't know of her story.

My opinion of her was that she was a bit odd but couldn't put my finger on why.

Now it has become obvious.

However, her disinterested way of reading the news was very off putting and I was glad it was only the headlines. More polished newsreaders showed some empathy at least and again we are seeing her lack of feeling in CBB whilst dealing with issues.

RABCNESBITT42 07-01-2018 10:23 PM

very insecure about being accepted as a woman

India despite having the 3 piece took away and a gas oven installed you still seem to be very very concerned about not being accepted as a woman . you completely over react at a few slips of the tongue by ann and Amanda . I then see next you appear in a dress with WOMAN written all over it . I noted another contestant say I think we have a VICTIM in the house . I FEELGIVEN YOUR APPEARANCE AND GENITALS ETC YOU ARE SEEN AS A WOMAN AND FOLK WERE SPEAKING PAST TENSE HE/SHE SHE/HE . GET OVER IT PLEASE

Jamie89 07-01-2018 10:28 PM

She was much better tonight I thought. I think her chats with Malika/Shane/John might have helped, if they sink in we might see her behaving more rationally.
