Series Decay

where a series starts out promising... but goes stale and, well, rotten, fast. This can be caused by a massive hype at the start of the series but then it actually not matching up to expectation or all the characters of the series
will this series be a victim? (I think so) and what other series of BB has this happened to?

Mrmattybeck 19-01-2018 01:48 PM

I’m actually suffering from too much bb 3 series a year takes its toll

Ashley fake showmance is ruining this series now a bit

Jodie. 19-01-2018 01:51 PM

Imo this series will be better in its second half. We’re halfway through and you can see tensions clearly building, I don’t think it’ll take too long before a few arguments start happening (providing the right people go, we need Ann, Rachel, Malika, Andrew and to an extent Jess, Courtney and Daniel to stay)

I really like it. One of my favourite CBB's with a huge diverse in ages

Eddie. 19-01-2018 02:12 PM

I've actually stopped watching...

Niamh. 19-01-2018 02:12 PM

I'm loving it still, it's evolving very organically

this isnt GOT hon

I was starting to feel this series was going downhill but the last few episodes especially last nights were really enjoyable.

There's a definite change going on in the house and Im loving watching the slow burning tension building. The second half of this series is where we are going to see housemates finally crack.

Except we're in danger of losing Rachel tonight who seems to be causing a lot of the trouble

same, I don't really understand the view that it is boring, it is what fans have been asking for for years, minimal interference, and apart from nominations so far its been just that...

Yeah same here, a proper "social experiment" like what BB originally started out as let the natural progression into arguments, annoyances, frustrations happen itself and it pretty much always will when you throw a group of people who don't know eachother into a small, restrictive environment like that. It feels more authentic than playing back bits of conversations to try and stir s**t etc

Yep 100%, it's like people want a return to the almost scripted TOWIE-esque version we've had the last few years...........NOOOOOOOOO

JerseyWins 19-01-2018 03:15 PM

It has still been very boring when I thought it was going to improve but it's been just as boring since the beginning, if not worse before.

I didn’t say it was
To fans of the show they can get excited about a series and overrate it from the beginning which then it goes downhill

Jason. 19-01-2018 04:38 PM

BB16 springs to mind.

Had potential to be a great series but they tampered with it to the point it became the worst ever series.

smudgie 19-01-2018 04:42 PM

Best series in years.
Fancy that, putting REAL people in a reality show....beggar me it actually works.:cheer2:

y.winter 19-01-2018 04:48 PM

I don't think it's the case... just yet.

Yes, losing India meant that we're now subjected to Ashleuwine (which is always a bad plan b) and whatever Andrew thinks he's doing and the gender theme could easily fall flat. Fortunately, we have Ann to keep the conflicts brewing. Rachel, Malika, Shane J, Wayne and Amanda all contribute to the drama/comic relief this series. The tasks are on point. As Niamh said, the plot evolves organically.

Things slow down, but it's only natural. It's still a good series and there are few weeks to go.
