Silly tourist woman gets a Shock when Queen's Guard makes his presence felt!

I cant embed the vid but you can see it all here:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...or-Castle.html

A female tourist was shocked after she was pushed out of the way in Windsor
The woman was oblivious to a member of The Queen's Guard approaching
The soldier pushed the woman and ordered: 'Make way for the Queen's guard'

Narcissistic woman wont do that again

Withano 25-07-2018 07:26 AM

Chris Brown is said to continue training the guards

Vanessa 25-07-2018 07:42 AM

Something like that happened to me when i went to the Tower of London. I didn't see a guard matching behind me. Got such a fright :joker:

how nice

arista 25-07-2018 07:57 AM

Yes Great firm HARD push

user104658 25-07-2018 10:18 AM

I think it was probably MOSTLY unnecessarily hard, but on the other hand, the ropes are there for a reason and I'm not sure why she decided it was OK to cross.

I think the silly costumes make people think that these are "actors" / performers and not real guards. They are highly trained guards... their guns are real and loaded... If you're not allowed to cross the line, it's a bad idea to do so for a selfie :umm2:

If you happen to be in their way, they basically tell you to get out of the way

Needlessly aggressive. She was in the wrong for being on the wrong side of the ropes but it's not like she entered the castle itself. Simply telling her to get back on the other side would have sufficed and it wouldn't have led to negative press like this.

its not negative been very well received and helps with attracting more tourists

I think it’s fair enough. If you let one person cross the rope to take a photo, more people will think it’s ok to cross the rope for whatever reason. Now it’s been made explicitly clear to everyone: don’t cross the rope!

Crimson Dynamo 25-07-2018 10:35 AM

corporal punishment

Livia 25-07-2018 10:37 AM

Did she not wonder what the rope was there for?

And why she should be allowed to cross it for a photo when everyone else had to stand behind it!

Mystic Mock 25-07-2018 10:57 AM

I wouldn't have pushed her out of the way personally if I was the Guard.

However I do think that it's not a hard rule for the woman to follow, don't cross the rope if you're not suppose to, it's not torture to follow that rule.

Amy Jade 25-07-2018 11:09 AM

Is it wrong I laughed?

Hope she's ok but couldn't help but giggle

Aaliyah 25-07-2018 11:29 AM

Good! He should have shot her!

I think that would have been bad for tourism although it would have been covered by a wider media for sure

America would love it, but they would question why her boyfriend didn't then draw his own gun and shoot the guard, before being shot himself by an unseen guard-sniper.

Yeah I agree with this.

I actually have a friend who thought they were just there for decoration and touristy reasons and tried to get a selfie with her hands on him :umm2: That went...well. Shes not the brightest spark generally mind, so I can understand why she thought that but he was (understandably) not impressed and reacted in a similar way to the guard in this story..everyone on FB was all 'oh poor you, thats unnecessary' and I just laughed at her stupidity, and brought the wrath of FB onto mysef :D
