How would you change a revived Big Brother UK?
If BBUK was to return on a different channel, how would you change the format and production to make it a success? These are my (un-asked for) thoughts :p
The three main ingredients it NEEDS are: Live feed: I used to not be that bothered about this but if it was to return it would set BB apart from the other reality shows and create a buzz online as events unfold. Also imo it's not a coincidence that the C5 series with the most live feed is the most watched. Varied cast: I don't think any non-celeb series has ever got the casting completely right. It needs a large cast with a huge range of personalities. Ordinary Joes, messy oldies, chavs, snobs, freaks, and a few Love Island-esque fitties to keep Fiat 500 twitter happy. Let them talk about nominations: Keep the classic consistent BBUK format but let them talk about noms. The first few weeks of BB13 when they were allowed to was the peak of that series, dont @ me! But wow what an essay! |

The show dies whenever it becomes about "the game". Incredibly dull and why I can't watch BBUS. The same sh*t all the time. BB15 drove me insane with the Power Housemate obsession. |

every member of sugababes as hms with live feed

Put Farrah Franklin in.
"This is Big Brother. The store room is now open for Farrah to come collect her luggage" |
Live Feed - An obvious one, hype would be created all over social media
App Voting - A necessity in any tv show these days because come on no one spends money on tv show voting anymore so it would give the eviction a better day instead of the vote being controll by the fb ladies or the fans (eg savannah which am not complaining about but you get my point) Cast - Like Greg said have a mix of everyone, BB19 had a good mix on paper yet none brought entertainment so make sure every single housemate selected is not boring Structure - BB19 & CBB22 improved a lot but there was still a lot of changing International elements- The CAN/US format could be experimented on a week and see how the public react to it and if it works make that the format |
24/7 Live feed, I’m not really bothered by it, I’d watch it for a few hours a night when trying to fall asleep, but it would appease a lot of people, plus we can see if there’s anything not being shown so, oust the dirtbags.
No Rylan, this is essential, no arguments. A better mix of housemates, ages, sexualities, class, religious and background. No LI wannabes, no-one that’s been on reality shows before. A strict policy on no outside contact, channel 5 practically threw that rule further out the window every series. A house that changes designs every year like C4. |
Make it the US format :fan:
(nah I know that wouldn't go well over there... but I'd be curious to see how the UK producers would do it) |

The rest sounds like it'd improve the show though :clap1: |
I agree with letting them talk about noms, it would still be different to BBUS as the public would still vote to evict but would allow for more gameplay and actually means "alliances" that form aren't completely pointless.
Also get rid of Rylan, so annoying. May be an unpopular opinion but another CBB where one housemate isn't a celeb would be fun. Also, all stars for civilian (should have done this for BB19 really) App voting is a must Kim Woodburn to host. |
id be here for an all female series tbh. bb8 would've been 100x better if they just kept with that female launch, and year of the woman cbb was a flop!
keep rylan far away from this for good please and thanks |
