I'm here for it tbh. Much more than I would be for a full reboot. And the John Wick films have shown that Reeves is still a very capable action star (potentially even more so than he was 20 years ago). Hopefully they'll introduce new characters and it's to continue the franchise?

Though I feel like it's been greenlit to cash in on the current popularity of Keanu Reeves :hehe:.

I think they could pick it up easily enough, perhaps with the peace from the end of the third film breaking down, I reckon we'll get a new cast of characters aside from Trinity and Neo

I still don't get the first three.

I've watched 1 & 2 on several occasions and am still just lost with them.

I actually enjoy both Reloaded and Revolutions tbh. They're not that bad.

And the Burly Brawl is my all time favourite fight scene from the trilogy.

I wonder if they'll have it that Neo physically survived... Or potentially, that he is physically "dead" but his mind was uploaded? Like maybe he's The Oracle's lodger or something.

It was also awesome in "Path Of Neo". Good old PS2 :flutter:

I've also seen a video of Keanu Reeves supposedly filming for The Matrix, wearing very "normal looking" clothes... my theory is that Neo has been living a "normal life" inside The Matrix since Matrix 3 (maybe with no memory of being Neo) but **** will hit the fan so they have to go and fetch him/remind him that he's "The One".

I'm actually a bit hype to be honest :joker:. Hoping they can recapture some of what made the original great.

Imma have to try again with the first ones, went right over my head first time around.

I don’t like that the visual style is so different. I know this is actually story-accurate (scene with the Architect and Oracle on the bench at the end of Matrix 3, having allowed a more colourful Matrix to be created after Agent Smith destroyed the previous one) BUT it just doesn’t have that iconic Matrix style, with the green filters, black clothes, dark shades, “lots of guns”.

I can't imagine how this is going to be good really. Those Matrix sequels were quite boring for large parts. The more story they added the less it made sense, and worse it got.
