It's almost time

Halloween will be over in a couple of days and we all know what happens when it's finished

Christmas will be thrown down our throats

Christmas decorations galore and constant Christmas adverts even the random and Pointless expensive ones like the Elton John John Lewis one :hehe:

I cant believe how fast that has come around where has 2019 gone????? :bawling:

So what do you enjoy about this time of year?

I'm definitely not looking forward to how crazy people get at this time of year as they go Christmas shopping, the scary driving that people do and the sheer lack of manners!

But I do look forward to all the chocolate baileys and xmas tv!

Strictly Jake 29-10-2019 09:28 AM

I like the forum towards the end of the year too, the pop list and the reality awards etc

Morgan. 29-10-2019 09:31 AM

Christmas is already being rammed down our throats. The shops have more Christmas decs than they do halloween. I can’t believe advent calendars are already being sold - they all expire halfway through November as well.

Love everything about the Christmas period, the shopping, the decorations, the preparations, Christmas specials and anyone that says Christmas food isn’t the best food is a stone cold liar lbr

I do really love Christmas but it needs to stick to December.

Actually that's a good point. I think it was the end of September that I saw advent calenders and mince pies in shops that's so early!

Nicky91 29-10-2019 09:50 AM

3rd of november the mtv ema's

could be a nice one in seville

but first Halloween, and after all this, towards my birthday, and how we are putting Christmas decorations up on november 18th, day before my birthday

and then Christmas, new year (new years eve what i love staying up till midnight, watching movies, concert at brandenburger tor which i like watching for last few years now) oh and also the eurovision top250 countdown on escradio this time of year

No! Christmas starts November 1st :nono:

Cherie 29-10-2019 10:09 AM

Halloween
Bonfire Night

then Christmas

though I am a bit torn as to how early the shops start pushing merchandise as some people like to spread the cost and buy a few items each week

If the advent calendars are going out of date in November they are last years stock, chocolate does not go out of date that quickly :nono:

Calderyon 29-10-2019 10:14 AM

Not much, if anything.

I found it ridiculous seeing advert calendars at the start of September.

RileyH 29-10-2019 12:29 PM

already have my Christmas playlist sorted :dazzler:

smudgie 29-10-2019 03:17 PM

Xmas cakes, Stollen, tins of biscuits and all the chocolates bought.:hehe:

Vanessa 29-10-2019 04:40 PM

Christmas also means that the new Star Wars movie is coming :cheer2:

Daniel-X 29-10-2019 04:56 PM

I usually only get in the Christmas spirit a week or so before the actual day, I do love the time of year though mainly just for because of how happy everyone is.

Beso 29-10-2019 05:41 PM

Xmas should be moved to the summer so all the lonely people can go out

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 29-10-2019 09:03 PM

The first half of the year was cute but it turned to hell in july and has been garbage since

Amy Jade 29-10-2019 09:31 PM

I want a fun advent calendar this year. Make up ones are so expensive though.

Strictly Jake 01-11-2019 10:06 AM

So prepare yourselves we are about to be bombarded with the competition of the Xmas adverts I haven't seen them yet but so far in the running for the best ones are Very, Argos and Iceland.....but don't forget John Lewis will be delivering it's advert soon too....just hope it features cute cartoons this time it's what we all want....sainsburys and asda do them pretty well!

user104658 01-11-2019 10:32 AM

My youngest (7) still doesn't have much verbal communication, but loves to sing. She was singing a song about Halloween (that I guess she learned at school? I've never heard it) all the way round town "trick or treating"... came home, got her into her pyjamas, she climbs into bed... starts singing "Jingle Bells".

I was like "Yeah pretty much sums it up "

Strictly Jake 01-11-2019 11:34 AM

Haha yeah she summed it up great!

Saw my first the other day. I think it was DFS (or dreams, one of the two).

I'm hoping for a new coca cola advert this year!
