Bothered enough to to be more diligent re hygiene of the hands and stock up on my hand sanitizer and anti-bac wipes...especially when son visits and sneezes at will.
But then not bothered enough to lose sleep over.
Tad concerned for my daughter as she is a teacher and has a low immune system.

Slightly more so than most due to my immune system being terrible.

On the other hand I'm very pernickity about hygiene, have anti bac everything gels, sprays wipes etc, so hopefully I should be safe lol

Crimson Dynamo 29-02-2020 09:27 AM

im mainly worried about being off work but obvioulsy if my mum or the TLs stepdad get it they are dead.

Jake. 29-02-2020 09:28 AM

Working in London does worry me slightly only because of how quickly it could go around

it is worse than regular flu, so should be taken serious of course

but i'm not gonna let the vile media stress me out anymore, i'll only listen to medical advice from real experts

Only because of my Mums health, with it affecting the lungs and her having copd, it does worry me, but in general, I’m not overly worried about her getting it

bots 29-02-2020 09:55 AM

i'm not overly worried. Rule number 1 is to not worry about things you cannot control. So be careful, avoid mass gatherings if you can, but other than that live your life. Worry about things that you can change

Probably a 5. Silly to ignore it, silly to think it's the end of days.

Hopefully this encourages more people to be careful and to always wash their hands more :fc: .

But it's definitely worrying so I'd say a 7 ! .

Remember the swine flu epidemic, news programs had to reassure people after deaths happened. As those people had weak immune systems or other health problems.

Yes I do and bird flu

20 people testing positive for this in the UK is absolute balony, there will be thousands with it who think they have a cold or some with no symptoms at all, flights have been coming in and out, people mingling, notice how tracking people down who have been in touch with the 20 is no longer a thing, because it is virtually impossible to track everyone at this stage.

It's always weird when these epidemics happen and then disappear, no mention of swine flu anymore , look at how Ebola was a huge crisis and people worried it could come to the UK . We never hear about Ebola anymore, surely it's still around? but I guess it's more controlled now.

And now this coronavirus has got people panicking which seems to have come out of the blue , but there's so many different diseases & viruses out there. That's why I say we have to just be careful .

I already take precautions anyway ,as you can never be too careful.

Given the best advice is wash your hands regularly and DONT touch your face its’s a farce really

Crimson Dynamo 29-02-2020 04:49 PM

the average person touches their face 4 times per minute

Beso 29-02-2020 04:53 PM

4 for myself, but about 9 for everyone else.
