Vaccine confusion

some things i do not understand despite reading through a lot

rusticgal 07-11-2021 04:15 PM

Somewhat stupid comment Nicky….do you seriously think the vaccine has not saved many lives?….

Nicky91 07-11-2021 04:16 PM

maybe so

but it also has claimed quite some deaths, due to some of its nasty side effects

but the vaccines had to be made in a rush rather than taking your time and delivering quality over quantity

AnnieK 07-11-2021 04:32 PM

I thought you were having your vaccine and only wanted the Pfizer one?

''were having'' am i allowed a free choice here in my family NO

basically my mom forces me to, and tbh why should i continue to fight against that, when i am sick and tired of those moans

but not that i trust any vaccine, i don't know if it just teens (12-17) and i don't know what they mean by young adults since some say from 18-35 but others specifically mention (18-24)

it kinda makes me scared

arista 07-11-2021 04:43 PM

Nicky no need to be troubled by this.
Millions are all fine after having the jab.

Good Luck

AnnieK 07-11-2021 04:47 PM

You'll be fine Nicky and protecting yourself

Glenn. 07-11-2021 04:49 PM

Stay at home where you’re no risk to anyone or yourself then.

every injection is in a saline solution (salt) because that is needed so it is accepted by the body. There are valid reasons for concern, but the constituents of the vaccine are not amongst them

Vicky. 07-11-2021 05:04 PM

Yeah as far as I know saline is in all injections. I got just saline on a drip in hospital once, so it can't be bad for you

A few doctors in this thread giving out medical advice to other people.

It was the great Rod Stewart who first alerted us about the advantages of saline :worship:

your body is basically full of salt water, thats why its salty when you sweat. That's the natural state

i know, but i've decided myself to postpone my jab until January and made a promise either that i won't go further postponing or complaining or causing more drama then

i just want a relaxed birthday and christmas

and this is the good thing about no appointments having to be made

i didn't have a good feeling about it now, i think i do trust the vaccine, pfizer that is at least

i do have good daily dosages of vitamins, and a very healthy lifestyle (never ever have smoked, never ever any alcohol)

the vitamins i have daily are

5 vitamin c pills each morning

3 vitamin a pills at dinner, and then also as of last year 1 extra vitamin d pill (since we read extra vitamin d also helps for your immune system or something, and especially in winter days extra vitamin d pills are good, because of lesser good sunlight, and vitamin d you also normally get from sunlight, being outdoors etc)

They are very thoroughly tested at this point Nicky. I understand some hesitation back when they were first being given out but at this point... over 4 billion people (more than 50% of the entire global population) has had a vaccine dose. That's an absolutely massive amount of testing data. Probably more than any other vaccine or medication in history.

Yep and low salts will make you rather unwell - if your salts are low you can drink all the water in the world and you'll still be functionally dehydrated. That's why sports drinks have salts and electrolytes in them.

Not to tell you what to do Nicky but the best way to relax and alleviate anxiety is to get the thing that's causing anxiety out of the way - not kick it further down the line. How can you have a relaxed Christmas knowing that you've pledged to make this decision in January? My honest advice would be make the decision now; either just go and get the vaccine done, or be honest with yourself that you aren't going to do it. You're not going to feel any differently in January.

I suspect if you just do it and get it out of the way, it'll be a massive weight off your shoulders.

Cherie 08-11-2021 09:30 AM

I tend to agree with TS, get it out of the way, you may not even have any symptoms, my eldest son just had his second Pfizer jab and he had no symptoms with either, and the worst you are going to be is a bit unwell for 24 hours or so or a sore arm for a few days

i can be relaxed knowing i made a promise not to create any drama or swear, rant, and knowing i'll have the vaccine in January, so i can already mentally prepare for that some more

No TS it's my own choice

it was more to do with not feeling comfortable doing this right before my birthday and the christmas festivities at home

i am always extra careful anyway, and i think i can be confident i am the most hygienic person on this forum :fan: maybe apart from GoldHeart then
