Ireland was better off Under our King George III

George III (George William Frederick; 4 June 1738 – 29 January 1820)
was King of Great Britain and of Ireland
from 25 October 1760 until the union of the
two kingdoms on 1 January 1801, after which he
was King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain
and Ireland until his death in 1820

A better time for Ireland
under our Nice Care.

Much better days for Ireland

We had the World's Biggest Empire.

If I had a Time Machine
I would go back to that time

King George III was featured CNN HD.

A New book is out.

I heard you could leave your door unlocked at night and there were fields, as far as the eye could see.

Indeed..if you were an English Lord of the manor.
The Irish fought and died for their independence, so it must have been a very harsh life for them. Especially with the potato famine, and nobody looking after the starving population.

Yes Great Days.

But 1845 to 1852, Potato Famine
was Terrible and after King George III

There was never a "famine" in Ireland let's get that straight. Better under British rule my arse, the British government killed a million Irish people by starving them

Crimson Dynamo 19-12-2021 05:35 PM

Yes Potato blight caused the Irish famine

nasty disease

also affected Europe

joeysteele 19-12-2021 05:44 PM

I'm sure the Irish would never agree with this.
Absolutely and perfectly right they would be not to agree too.

Ireland was ruled by Britain so Britain exported it out of Ireland, the land owners were British on stolen Irish land.

True, but hate should not be handed down from generation to generation

That's not what I'm doing here, my objection in this thread was based purely on the claim made that Ireland was in better hands when ruled by Britain and the claim that there was an actual famine in Ireland when there was not, there was plenty of food in Ireland at that time, the Irish people were starved by greedy mainly English landlords
