Name your poison.

What's your favourite alcoholic beverage?

Or do you abstain?

I'm virtually teetotal these days bit occasionally still indulge in a Martini or a Malibu n Coke.

ThomasC 06-06-2022 06:11 PM

I wouldnt say I have a favourite, but I like cider, disaronno, vodka (doesn't agree with me, but I still drink it) and gin.

I'm not too fussy, but can't cope with lager or cheap crap like prosecco. Even the smell makes me funny

Alf 06-06-2022 06:11 PM

I like a sidecar, which is cognac and contreau

Kate! 06-06-2022 06:12 PM

I don't like Prosecco either. Vile.

You pick 3 numbers from 1 to 21..then 3 numbers get draw each Monday, winner takes all the money, if no winners then it rolls over..its rolled over for over a month now...

Kazanne 06-06-2022 08:34 PM

Kraken and coke

GoldHeart 06-06-2022 08:41 PM

I don't drink too often

But I enjoy Cider , various cocktails, red wine ,white wine, ginger wine , rose , Bailey's ,advocaat., Ohh and disaronni .. Usually these are as treats/ special occasions or the odd time each week. I don't mind prosecco either.

I was a Jack Daniels drinker back in my teens/Uni days. These days I very rarely drink, when I do it’s usually afternoon/lunch time drinking and something light like a nice cider with crushed ice. Basically a big alcoholic slush puppy :joker:

Zizu 06-06-2022 11:17 PM

Rarely , rarely drink but if I’m pushed..

Southern Comfort or Cointreau

I’m honestly more into straight-up beer, cheap Halewood poison (Lambrini, and lots of it, in fairness) and dark fruits than anything else these days.

Gin’s my actual liquor-poison (and I’ll typically have a double whenever I do indulge, usually at ’spoons but it doesn’t tend to happen that often, not anymore - my days of being a Bombay Sapphire-for-breakfast dude have been gone since I went from semi-alcoholic to healthy casual/weekend drinker).

GoldHeart 07-06-2022 06:18 AM

Pink gin is another favourite of mine .

I like a pink gin but a real one. Not the stuff you buy in a bottle called pink gin which is bright pink. Real pink gin isn't as pink as that. Real pink gin is just gin mixed with angostura bitters

Niamh. 07-06-2022 09:51 AM

White wine, usually an Italian Pinot Grigio

I went through a (hilariously pretentious) wine-drinking phase when I was about 17 and pinot grigio was my white wine of choice :joker:. I can barely stomach wine at all these days. Probably because I was drinking so much of it at 17 :umm2:.
