there'll be a statement to come for the Olympics though, although this same neutrality was discussed for the olympics either

should they win anything, we will more hear the olympic anthem rather than from their respective nations

going to watch mainly on NOS, BBC and Eurosport i think


don't have HBO Max, not going to subscribe for it solely for this



i also can follow most things through flashscore online, ideal for following all sorts of live sports :)

So are all the events shared between loads of different channels or will the BBC be showing everything ?

BBC are the sole broadcaster for the UK


and otherwise there's also Eurosport (for europe in general too)

BBC only get to show two screens at one time because IOC sold out. It’s a disgrace what they’ve done.

Yeah, this trend of sporting events getting moved to expensive pay-channels is very annoying.

I think you can get a week's trial of Discovery+.

why is no one watching the olympics today?

They probably presume the Olympics start tomorrow as per the ‘opening ceremony’

Barmy to have 4 days of sporting events BEFORE the grand opening !!

of course, some events take longer like rugby, handball, archery, football


and archery had to start today instead of tomorrow since tomorrow you also got rehearsals for the opening ceremony outside, and there might otherwise be risks of the opening ceremony staff getting accidentally hit by arrows

they also have done the draw for the tennis today
