Coloured text backgrounds

Is it possible to have coloured backgrounds on text, like what's shown in the picture above?

If not, I would like to suggest it as a potential feature of the forum!

e.g. [bgcolor=Red] [/bgcolor] or [bgcolor=#FF0000] [/bgcolor] around text could output something similar to what is shown above.

Thoughts?

I don't think people would use it and if everyone started using it in threads it would make the forum look a mess.

I would use it in my sigs. It would look nice.

I think it's a great idea, as long as it wasn't over-used in posts but for sigs it's a great idea!

Nobody would go to the trouble of using it on regular posts anyway. bring it on me says.

I think it is a dandy idea for singatures but if it was used in posts it would look like Josephs coat when you logged on and would personally boggle my eyes! also a little like Stropz I am too lazy to use anything like that anyway :wink:
