In an ultimatum posted on social media,
the comedian also warned Beckham
"your status as a gay icon will be
shredded" if action was not taken.

If Beckham does pull out of the deal,
Lycett said he would donate the money
to charities "that support queer
people in football" - otherwise he will shred it.]

I love the idea of stripping his gay icon card off of him, when I don’t actually think he’s done all that much proactively to receive that ‘title’ in the first place? He’s just hot, that’s it, that’s why the gays love him, well that and he married a spice girl

Beckham is a good ambassador for the world cup with all honesty, and this anti-qatar behaviour has to just stop now, if people wanted to boycott they should've done it sooner, not last minute

The one part of your post that I agree with is we've had years to campaign against this trainwreck, and some people have literally waited until days before the tournament starts to get on their soap box.
