Sports Appreciation Thread (excluding Football)
 

I feel like Football gets celebrated a lot around most of the world, so I thought that it'd be good to appreciate some of the other Sports that get less of a push.

Especially in the UK where we're very Football mad in the Media and society in general.

I'll keep editing the OP over the days to include more Sports Matches.

And just to add they'll mainly be highlights being linked on here due to legal reasons.

I know he’s not a ‘boxer’ but his heart is in boxing first and foremost.


He’s probably my favourite UFC guy but ..

Sadly I see him getting sparked out eating doors :(

The bookies don’t think Nate has a chance


Nate fought at 155 most of his career but Jake Paul walks around at 230 lbs normally


That’s 85 lbs heavier or 6 STONE !!

Plus Nate is a battered up 38 year old in his FIRST ever boxing bout

Yeah i have to agree with you. And yeah i've been following the odds. However, the bookies got it wrong in Paul's last fight against fellow knob Tommy Fury. They had Jake strong favourite in that. I just hope Nate can connect with a decent combo. Unfortunately i see Nate getting KO'd though.

Worryingly yesterday Nate said on stage “ even if I lose you all know he can’t really fight !”

Yeah very strange. But honestly, there's only one reason he took this fight, just like all the other ex MMA and sports people, a nice pay day. I don't think Nate cares if he wins of loses. It wont damage his reputation imo.

I dunno, i think he's past the point of caring. No one will ever take Jake Paul seriously as a boxer. The boxing world will happily make money off the back of his army of child followers. Nate just seems stonned (which he is) and care free all the time.

H wont be treating this as he would an MMA fight.

I've put £10 on Nate Diaz winning by KO or TKO @7/1. Not a very wise bet, more hope than anything, but it's not like im paying for the fight so meh.

Stayed up all night for this fight, watching the women's South Africa vs Holland match while waiting. They said the ring walk would be 4am, but we've still got another fight to go yet ffs. Looking like 5am at least.

The fights have all been good to be fair

That last fight was interesting.. a lad from the Diaz camp fighting their style beating a hard punching guy who concentrated on a big right hand :)

Yeah i've been watching the fights on and off. I have to keep switching servers though as all of them are getting nuked pretty quick. The longest one stayed up was for about 30 mins lol. I just know im gonna have to bounce around them for the Diaz/Paul fight.

‘Twas alright .. I don’t really care for women fighting to be honest but the main event is coming up !!

It’s gone 5 am already and we are supposedly going to a car boot sale at about 7:30 !!
