Nigel Farage now Blocked by 10 Banks (Getting Debanked)

https://liveblog.digitalimages.sky/l...60b398123e.png

They need to make this legal
that banks must not block customers
that have Politics they do not like.

Of Course on Farage
it could be to do with Russian Money
he got from Arron Banks.

The Main Bank he is with, has still not stated why?

They should go public
with their Justified reason

He can have a Current Account
but not a Business Account.

If he has business deals going on with the Russians then I think that's what's going against him.

If it's anything else then I think it's really not acceptable from the Banks imo.

people have been black listed by banks for saying what a biological woman is.

Even if Farage has had some dodgy payments, innocent until proven guilty and all that. No court has prosecuted him

Completely agree. This is an attack on free speech.

Gusto Brunt 03-07-2023 01:42 PM

They'll take his name away next.

'You can't use that name Nigel Farage anymore.'

Not too crazy perhaps.

Swan 03-07-2023 01:46 PM

Im not arsed about Farage, but just imagine how much dirty money banks have taken over the years and turned a blind eye

Funny how they allow convicted paedos and murderers now released from jail to have bank accounts.

MEANWHILE....

The Bank of England has said that people of any gender identity can be treated as
pregnant as it pledged to dedicate a floor of its office to offering gender-neutral lavatories.

The embattled central bank introduced a new “family leave” policy in June 2021 that
included the gender-neutral term “birthing parent”, according to its 2022
submission to the charity Stonewall, which campaigns for gay, lesbian and transgender ideology.

Officials said that this meant “the parent who is/was pregnant with the child but
includes persons of any and all gender identities”.

And Posie Parker has been banned completely from Change.org - thinking that biological sex is real has meant that she's not allowed any political participation in the world.

Utterly draconian.

He still has to give us a list.
Nigel has gone on Holiday.

The Main one that started all this
is the Kings Bank
Coutts.

[The Times of London reported in 2019 that he was
a customer of Coutts, the private bank that is part
of NatWest Group Plc]

Tories are going to win the next election full stop Bots we need to stop pretending that we live in an active democracy. We do not. "How" they will win won't be clear until 6 months before election day. At that point it'll become obvious.

Virtue-signalling BANKS are simply furthering their own profiteering agenda

Meanwhile, they’ve been closing down branches and cash machines left, right and centre to save money at the expense of elderly and vulnerable customers who are left with no face-to-face contact with bank staff, or access to physical money.

The impact on these customers, especially those in rural locations which are worst affected, can be profound. It’s hardly the behaviour of an industry that’s apparently so deeply invested in the good of society, is it?

And when it comes to helping the victims of devastating fraud, banks are also putting their interests firmly above their customers’. According to Which?, reimbursement rates for push payment scams remain “shockingly low”, with banks finding victims at least partly responsible for their losses in 77pc of cases assessed, meaning they won’t get all their money back.

So yes, when it comes to morals there truly may be no-one worse to judge than the banks. They can hand out as many pronoun badges, hold as many Pride events and cancel as many Nigel Farage-types as they like, but at the end of the day customers will see it all for what it really is: virtue signalling designed to further their own money-making agenda.

The bottom line is that no-one should be denied a bank account on the basis of their views. Government intervention to stop this faux moral grandstanding cannot come soon enough.

The Culture Secretary has said she is concerned banks may be closing customer accounts for political reasons following claims from Brexiteer Nigel Farage.

Lucy Frazer said it is something banks "should be thinking about carefully".

Last week, Mr Farage said his bank was closing his accounts, claiming it was "serious political persecution" from an anti-Brexit banking industry.

The government is investigating payment providers over account closures.

Last year, Paypal closed accounts run by Toby Young, who is general secretary of the Free Speech Union. They were later reinstated by the US payments company.

The government subsequently announced a review into payment services regulations, including the practice of firms apparently closing down the accounts of people or businesses that hold views the lender does not agree with.

Ms Frazer told LBC, the radio station: "I'm concerned people's accounts might be closed for the wrong reasons and it's something they [the banks] should be thinking about carefully.

"Banks are regulated, and those are the sort of things regulators should consider."

Mr Farage said that he was told two months ago that his bank, who he did not name but is understood to be Coutts, was closing down his personal and business accounts.

The BBC has approached Coutts' parent company Natwest for comment.
