The “‘What drives you crazy “ thread
Right !!
I hate conspiracy theories So who pops up on our TV screens but that proven scam merchant Uri Geller spouting absolute nonsense about alien bodies and spacecraft here on earth He says he’s seen aliens with his own eyes and has a photo to prove it .. When asked to show the photo he completely changed the subject He then claimed that every time he Tweets about UFOs he gets 4 million views … so I checked and it’s absolute nonsense He then proudly announced that Putin sent him a spoon !!! It’s absolutely frightening to learn that he has over 40,000 gullible followers I don’t understand why the tv folk even tolerate people like this Aghhh !!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

People who look down on you. I try to ignore them, but it does piss me off big time..

People making assumptions, especially about people they only know barely (if at all). Everyone has a story and things about them that would surprise you and at the end of the day their existence is their existence. No-one’s an island but (Siamese twins aside) no-one has two heads, either. If truly you hate to assume and presume, then it’s best to just not do it at all. Even people you otherwise actually know pretty well can still take you by surprise. Guess all you like if you have to but don’t make active assumptions, especially if you’re going to run with them without having it confirmed from the actual horse’s mouth. Assumptions can be deadly and you can’t guess decades of the finest details of another person’s existence. It’s foolish to think you can, no matter how well you know them. A lot of things go unexpressed and unsaid and it can be better that way. You ain’t going to have tabs on the innermost details of every second of someone else’s experience of life.

Why did the BBC manipulate this genuine photograph of white voter's hand to
make it black in 95% white Wales? https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2023/08...2995677891.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2023/08...2995663829.jpg The BBC was facing questions last night after it admitted using a 'blacked up' image as part of its election coverage. Politicians rounded on the corporation after it emerged staff might have doctored an image of a white woman's hand to make it look like it was that of a black voter. An almost identical photo with a white hand had been used in a previous story about voting four years earlier. A BBC spokesman said: 'It appears that the photograph used as part of this graphic has been altered, which, although there is no intention to mislead, should not have happened and is not acceptable BBC practice. We will be reminding our staff of this.' https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ake-black.html |

‘I’m a greedy beggar behind the till so I no-go do cash-back for anyone’ is an irritant anyway. Greedy shopkeeper shenanigans are something else.

Idiot motivational speakers who want people to make hustling a bigger priority than their health and shame people for getting a good 7/8 hours of sleep. If you want to drive yourself into an early grave, you do that but as someone who’s been through the brink in the past with the severest insomnia, I can tell you straight-up that being sleep-deprived is no fun. None whatsoever. Quality sleep’s a basic bodily requirement, not a luxury.

Wtf is wrong with some people? My pet hate is how Football fans (mainly Villa fans) don't want to acknowledge that Birmingham City are a big club, even though we are the last West Midlands team to win an actual trophy, have played in European competitions (some of them we have made the final) and are in a League that would be most countries Premier League, but no we're not a big club.:joker: |

Not being allowed to progress on a job re. something you could do with your eyes closed because you need to be officially competency-checked/signed off/etc. or you risk getting into trouble. It just creates a situation where you’re basically short-staffed and all because you’re not allowed to use your initiative. Which is annoying when it’s something you actually know how to do, but you just have to keep on waiting and waiting until upper management says it’s officially okay.
Life’s enough of a patient waiting game as it is. Let’s just cut to it and do things properly. It shouldn’t take forever to authorise people moving on to a level that reflects their capabilities and the requirements of the job. It’s not fair on anyone. If you’re very capable and competent but officially slowed down because you’re new, that can be a big pain. |
I hate it when football commentators say “ what a delicious pass ‘ !!!!

People using “depression” as a synonym for sadness or anxiety. It trivialises people’s awareness and understanding of what severe depression actually is and makes it sound like it’s just a negative mood state that you can snap out of.

Doctors/pharmacists who are totally incapable of showing empathy (I really am speaking on behalf of the masses with this one). It helps when patients/customers actually feel comfortable with you and they deserve to be comfortable. The coldness of the doctor who gave Lola (EastEnders) her diagnosis is such an infuriating example of how lacking in healthy communication skills some of these people can be. There’s doing things by the book and there’s being overly matter-of-fact about what’s going on with all the sensitivity of a bag of cement. At least learn to smile.

Too much grumbling/nagging/over-talking. Hate it.
