And also

i'm not qualified to talk on the subject, but i would think thats an over exaggeration

Lostie! 07-11-2023 10:34 PM

She's not wrong about microaggressions

Evidently her fellow housemates think Trish is a far stronger woman than her friend apparently does.

Also, what horseshit.

A friend of Big Brother contestant Trish Balusa has reached out to the show's production over concerns for her pal's wellbeing.

The housemate's best friend has taken to Twitter (which has now rebranded to X) to reveal she's been in touch with production after noticing "micro-aggressions" and "racism" aimed towards Trish.

"Spoken to the welfare team today regarding what Big Brother production team is doing to intervene with this micro-aggressions & racism that we are all witnessing Trish experience with no visible intervention [for] her wellbeing or holding those responsible accountable," her message reads.

In a response to a viewer who suggested the show should address some uncomfortable conversations, Trish's friend replied: "I completely agree, I think if they are going to engineer/script certain things they need to also be ready to discuss them honestly. Otherwise what is the point?"

Trish has been having a hard time in the house after her confrontations with Dylan Tennant and Paul Blackburn, who she branded a bully. More recently, she had the deciding vote in a Hunger Games style challenge, ultimately nominating Jenkin Edwards for eviction on his birthday.

In the Diary Room later on, Trish bursted into tears, expressing her guilt.

"Even though I wasn't really happy with him, I didn't want him to have a bad birthday. It's a special day," she said.

"And I don't even feel like I have the right to be upset about it because it feels like I'm manipulating the situation by being sad and I have no right because he should be sad," she continued.

"He was saying, 'It's okay, it's okay,' but you know it's not okay. Nobody's okay with that," she added. "I've been up for nomination twice and it's not an okay feeling."

We aren’t in 24/7 though

Plus if things like Jenkin being dismissive of Yinrun / walking away from her etc … have been going on without us knowing then her claims are entirely feasible imho

Yes but her friend would be seeing what we’re seeing.

The tweet in red was from twitter - @Otheprettyking it was the girl who has appeared on BBLL.

Swan 07-11-2023 10:42 PM

I don't like Chanelle, Olivia, Jenkin, Tom etc, but yes, if you're white and you don't get on with a black person you are clearly a racist.

GlitterUK 07-11-2023 10:49 PM

I wonder who she thinks has been racist.

Why is it crap? Her friend sees the same footage we do.

GlitterUK 07-11-2023 11:24 PM

Her friend has also been on BBLL so may have some insight from that.

They show the same things there as we see.

GlitterUK 07-11-2023 11:26 PM

Not from watching I mean from speaking to people. I would imagine the likes of AJ and Will speak to F&F before/after the show etc.

Because it's clearly not racism, and if it was Trish would stand up to it if she felt she was being singled out because of her race.

Just people desperate to find racism in 2023 when it clearly isn't there. But then, white, straight people are the devil and naturally racist of course.

Yeah but why would they talk to them about stuff like that if production weren’t doing things about it? There’s no logic.

…well no, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t anything race related involved, either because that would be dismissing it as a possibility …apparently her friend is concerned so she’s taken a correct path of contacting the production team, they have all of the footage and examples would have to be given, so they’re able to look into it…and it’s right, I think…that if someone is concerned about a housemate in the way that’s been reported, that they do express that, which has happened…I can’t see that we all wouldn’t hope for that for all housemates…
