:laugh2:

that looks like the disgusting little bedsit that drongo lives in

0 out of 10 and the video is genuinely laughable

Zizu 01-03-2024 10:21 AM

Fabulously catchy / melodic song perfect for Eurovision .. sadly the competition has nothing to do with music

He’s actually perfect for this contest as he will wear or do pretty much anything to entertain

Looking back at recent winners - that is essential

I really like it a lot.
The Dizzy chorus really sticks in your head

Really good luck to him.

Cherie 01-03-2024 10:39 AM

The opening bars have a Pet Shop vibe, after that it goes down hill a bit for me but maybe its a grower, I like Ollie and hope he does well

Ammi 01-03-2024 10:40 AM

…yeah as Joey said, good luck Olly……I’m pretty sure that he won’t bring it home but I hope that he does well with his entry…/our entry…

arista 01-03-2024 10:44 AM

Not a Winner

Should have used real musicians

MTVN 01-03-2024 10:52 AM

Very meh

Genuinely think Mae Muller had a better song

bots 01-03-2024 01:17 PM

i think that's a great song, hope it does well

Nicky91 01-03-2024 01:23 PM

not a good song at all

reminds me of Sweden 2008 (Charlotte Perrelli - Hero) and also very much of something from Thomas Anders (of Modern Talking) his solo album Cosmic Rider

quite dated

shame, would've rather seen TikTok superstar Nathan Evans

Crimson Dynamo 01-03-2024 01:28 PM

Its genuinely formulaic garbage

Nicky91 01-03-2024 01:28 PM

and otherwise abolish the UK and allow Scotland, Wales to participate independently

if UK continues to be racist with sending only english artists, and ignoring other huge tiktok hypes, i mean Nathan Evans is on similar levels of tikkytok popularity as Sam Ryder was Pre-ESC, but yeah Sam is english and Nathan is scottish

It is actually.
Since watching it on here.
I've been humming it all day so far

Others I've had listen to it, say it's really good too.

Good one.
I wish him success, he's a great guy too.

Nicky91 01-03-2024 01:30 PM

Wales would slay with musical superstar Luke Evans, or something from their selection show for Pan Celtic Festival - Can i Gymru?

welsh language is amazing tbh

music is by definition formulaic and if a composer breaks the rules and does something different, that then becomes a new formula. that is how music works

Also, something that is not formulaic takes much longer to gain traction than something that has an air of familiarity and in these days with low attention spans you need something to be familiar for it to be successful, particularly in a contest environment

Believe me iv been watching ESC since 1974 and i know what works and this song is garbage and will be unlikely to be on the left handside of the scoreboard

its crap

:conf:

Ukraine, Norway don't sound familiar to me at all, and are easily among the best entries of this year, two very strong and very authentic acts

okay Norway maybe at a stretch but also not too much, maybe bit of a norwegian Nightwish vibe (San Marino also going for that this year, although with a bit more spanish/italian gwen stefani what are you waiting for vibe, and they have a celebrity fan in Paris Hilton who loves that song and shared it on the socials)

Lithuania also very authentic, a nice anti-war song in their language yet a fun song ''Luktelk'' btw Dizzy is getting plays with them already too on the radio

Nicky91 01-03-2024 01:44 PM

Latvia could do well if they qualify (they could be tough competition for France in the jury votes) Hollow is that strong of a ballad

but firstly has to survive the 100% televote semi

I only listened to it once and I can tell it’s gonna be one of those I can’t stop listening to .. like Pharrell’s Happy

I listened to it just the once and I could hear quite a few different hooks/melodies that sounded kinda familiar

I’m convinced it’s one of those that you can’t get out if your head after a few listens

Well I’d agree it’s formulaic as I can hear bits of many pop hits in there

We will struggle but only because the whole world basically dislike us for one reason or another
