You've never been in an aeroplane though??! Get on Ryanair to Barcelona for a weekend, great city, short flight, should be reasonable

Crimson Dynamo 04-06-2024 03:25 PM

Sounds good. No I've never summoned up the courage to fly. I'm scared. Lol. Need to get a passport one of these days.

You can do it, you're missing out on seeing the world!

A new bucket. But metal this time. Not plastic.

Never been on one and never will do now.
I did sit in a helicopter when I was a child..if that counts.😂

Ah it's not just me then.

Hot-air balloon ride.

Travelling certain parts of Canada, Cambodia, China, Japan and Estonia. Niagara Falls with a good buddy for good measure.

Riding the daring theme-and-water-park rides I’ve got on my bucket-list.

Bringing more awareness and treatment-options to the table for misophonia. Clomipramine and pindolol seem to be drugs with potential (definitely the case for the former and hyperacusis, which is like misophonia in many ways, or at-least a cousin of it). Ditto for the bridge between certain forms of misophonia and (certain forms of) OCD. Let’s get medications and specialised cognitive therapies on the ball. Let’s get research flowing and pumping into this and give misophonia a rightful place in the DSM/ICD’s next editions. Let all these people’s suffering not be in vain and people’s imparting of recovery-nuggets confined to certain parts of Reddit. The content might seem a bit odd, random and non-resonant to any-one individual and that’s fine but people who have direct experience of things like misophonia know exactly how life-draining it is, and how important more discussion about it is. People who have actually lived through it and all the potential misunderstandings and lack of acknowledgment from other people that they have a disorder that come with it.

I feel like we achieved alot of our bucket list in the last few years

wanted to leave my job and go freelance
wanted to move out of London
spend more time in Spain
sold our Spanish apartment and bought a bigger one
wanted to get another dog

tick tick tick tick tick

Cant think of anything else at the moment, another dog at some point though Princess Tilly will have a big say in that and for such a chilled dog at home she can be bratty when she sees other dogs

Prove to the company I was working for in 2018 that I’m reliable and not someone who still comes with alcoholic baggage (I had a drink-problem back then, and got sacked for drinking gin on the job).

aw Redway that is an admission and a half, is there a way back do you think? are you still in touch with anyone?

Redway 04-06-2024 04:42 PM

Visit India

Visit Thailand, and learn to cook more of their food (using goose-broth as something of a base). Same applies to many other food-cultures over the world, but let’s just use Thailand as a point of reference.

Is jungle-fowl a meat that’s still in existence? Find out, innit.

Be truly fulfilled 100% on my own terms, not just on Friday and Saturday evenings.

Do what I’ve got to do to make sure I’m given all the chances I deserve when it comes to one or two more particular things.

Stay at my ideal weight (11-12 stone) and not hover over or under.

I’d like to think so but I’m honestly not so sure. Like I said, I think everyone deserves a second chance. it’s just about getting them to see that. To them having an alcoholic back is a liability but I haven’t drunk like that in four years. And it’s not like I was actually bad at my job. I just couldn’t leave the Gordon’s be at that point.

That’s why I laugh at the hypocrisy of people who are pro-alcohol and always at the pub but strongly anti all the drugs which actually have spiritual and medicinal benefits (weed, ketamine and psychedelics). At least with them there’s some sort of tangible point to being high and a path of intellectual and emotional introspection formed if you’re lucky. New mental pathways. Transcendent feelings. Alcohol’s caused me way more problems than any other drug could, and for what? So I could be tipsy for 3 hours and not be able to walk in a straight lane? So I could challenge my liver’s resilience every day? Why do we glorify casual, functional semi-alcoholism so much in this part of the world?

I still drink, don’t get me wrong. It’s just that those days of alcohol abuse and being one short plank below full-blown addiction are truly behind me. There’s a time and a place and a level. I like to get tipsy these days, not drunk.

And listen, Kate, good luck with the aeroplane bucket-wish. No doubt you’ll smash it.

Hey !!

We saw Barry Manilow at the M.E.N arena about 12 years ago- amazing show / showman

I mentioned recently that it was probably the best we’ve seen … including Stevie Wonder , Coldplay and few times and Metallica
