What have you done today?

Today we went to a cheese festival near us (heaven) and there was a tent with animals. In one part of the tent were insects and spiders. There was a tarantula which you could hold. I stood watching all these young kids hold it and then decided to brave it and hold it (I’m terrified of spiders). It was weirdly fine, and the tarantula was so soft and gentle.

Sat in a mother xxxxxxxx queue for nothing.

Going to go outside now and scream for 1 hour

I would happily hold a tarantula instead of that waste of time

Nope....am hoping they release extra dates.

I have been offered a ticket for Wembley but I wanted to take my son....going to go sit in Heaton Park on one of the nights with him and a few friends and listen. Not quite the same but better than nothing

keep for the boy tomorrow. :hee:

I ran in a 10k event and now I'm off to a village show/fair thing. It will be mixed with popping over the road to see how the local cricket team are doing

smudgie 31-08-2024 01:55 PM

sat in my chair doing naff all.

You can’t move in this house, 1 bedroom getting decorated and the clutter is everywhere.

Cherie 31-08-2024 02:39 PM

Jeez Smudgie you seem to have been decorating for ever

I went for a walk that included Aldi and the butchers, watched a bit of football, going to take the doggo out soon

Josy 31-08-2024 02:59 PM

Went to a country park and farm in an attempt to burn some of my child's never depleting energy (didn't work but it was a nice day)

Visiting my in-laws now like every Saturday where we have either lunch or dinner with them (today it's dinner)

Then going home to bath Conor get him settled in bed then do absolutely nothing at all for the rest of the night

Thanks Cherie, I do miss posting as much as I used to.

Conor is 3 now, we moved house a couple of months ago and he's now started full time at nursery, he's an absolute ball of energy [emoji23] and also full of cheek but I wouldn't change him for the world.

I would like to say that now he's in nursery full time I should have more time to get online but seems like every time I say that something happens that stops me

Oh god, that's horrific :worry: started off so perfect eating cheese as well [emoji25]

I had a takeaway and drinks night with my buddies and stayed over but I slept terribly there, so I dropped one of my friends home this morning, came home myself, ate some sausage rolls and slept in my own cosy bed for 4 hours, just woke up, going to drop Luke to work for 5 and make some dinner [emoji899]

Hahaha, once I was holding Sharon (the tarantula) it was actually fine. I thought I’d freak out but she was so gentle when she walked.

A nice lazy Saturday. I wish I could chill but we have a party to attend tonight.

Sharon can stay away from me :oh:

You'll be grand once you get out, the thought of it is always worse when you're cosy at home

Haha, only finished nearly two years ago.
A bit like the Forth bridge, you finish at one end then start at the other.
Felt like a complete change in the bedroom, of course once you take the furniture out you realise it needs redecorating.
Time to treat myself.
