Did you agree with Thomas and Daze playing ‘the game’?

Did you agree with them playing the game?

Niamh. 08-10-2024 09:15 PM

If course, it is a game after all

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 08-10-2024 09:16 PM

They understood the assignment! This isn't friend island

MTVN 08-10-2024 09:16 PM

No I think both were very mean and cynical

Completely unnecessary for Thomas as well as he'd have been better off banking the goodwill from not destroying the photos. He'd have been safe in a vote anyway but also had another chance to leave storage and might have been chosen by one of the others anyway

Daze was also quite manipulative

Neither is good gameplay imo, yes you survive the first vote but you do more damage in the long term

Jordan. 08-10-2024 09:17 PM

I expected Thomas to be a people pleaser. I gained some respect for him for going through with it.

Niamh. 08-10-2024 09:18 PM

I don't know Matt, I liked Daze more after the task :hee:

Zizu 08-10-2024 09:19 PM

Thomas - acceptable behaviour
Daze - unacceptable behaviour

GlitterUK 08-10-2024 10:44 PM

I think Daze was being more tactical than Tom was.

Mystic Mock 08-10-2024 10:49 PM

Both were playing the game.

But personally I'm more bothered by Thomas shredding people's personal photos just to become a Housemate.

The difference for me was he didn't use manipulation to win, he just went through with the task BB had given and was even supporting Rosie during her dares too.

GlitterUK 08-10-2024 11:09 PM

I think Tom also apologised as he went through with it Daze showed zero remorse.

He showed that he was incredibly desperate imo.

From my perspective I could never shred other people's things just to stay on Big Brother.

I think he was determined rather than desperate

Daze showed signs of desperation in my view

Daze was manipulative, which is apart of BB and always has been, and always will be.

Where as Thomas did an action that society at large (who aren't BB fans at all) would look on really poorly that he would shred people's photos just to avoid facing a public vote on a Reality TV Show.

Only on BB would Thomas's actions be seen as less morally objectionable.

Summed it up perfectly, Jordan.

This is the BB house though, and all those who take part are aware when they sign up that they will have to tolerate certain things they wouldn’t in real life. These days photos are backed up on devices so they are not items that are irreplaceable which are being destroyed. And how do we even know that they only have one photo with them?

In all honestly, in either real life or in the BB house, I would find it more morally reprehensible to be manipulated by others than for someone to destroy something that is so easily replaced.

Jordan. 09-10-2024 12:35 AM

I highly doubt the physical photos were even brought in by the housemates. They were likely asked to send them digitally to the production team who printed them themselves (for the purpose of being able to destroy them :fan:)

Fair enough.

I personally would not like anyone destroying any of my stuff just to stay in a game, that to me shows that Thomas will be desperate enough to do almost anything to stay in the house.

Don't get me wrong I appreciate that he is competitive, but there should be limits imo.

You're probably right tbh.

Good point. I hadn’t thought of that, but I think you’re probably right.
