Does Khaled have issues with women?

I'm not just saying this to be reactionary, it's just a few things that I have noticed about him over the last week, that makes me suspicious that he might have issues with women.

1. He accused Hanah of being aggressive just because she dared to express an opinion.

2. He clashed with Hanah over the shopping list.

3. He has clashed with Ali.

4. He has nominated Ali, Lily, and now Martha.

All of his arguments and nominations have been women.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that Khaled is an evil monster that needs to be vanquished, but I do believe that he might have issues with women.

What do you guys think?

GlitterUK 14-10-2024 11:19 PM

I don't think he has issues with women at all. I think he just gets on well with the guys in the house so didn't nominate them.

The issue with Hanah was squashed quickly
Didn't see the shopping list clash so cannot comment
I would say Ali clashed with him, he just stood his ground.
Dean, Segun, Thomas etc have also nominated two females.

Maru 14-10-2024 11:20 PM

He said that he doesn't have friendships with women in his actual life and that the house was the first chance for him to form friendships with women. Take of that what you will... I don't think he's shown enough for me to identify it being a problem either way. The most I'd say at this point he's trying way too hard to be nice and leaving himself open to more drama.

Consider too, two of the people you've listed who are nominated, he understandably doesn't have good relations with at this point and that may be of no fault of his own (they don't gel). With Martha, I forgot the reason he actually nominated her. It didn't seem like Martha was besties or anything with him in the house, anyway.

I don't think the men have done much to cross anyone, (except Marcello) and nobody has given the impression that they impact the house dynamic in a negative way. Most of them have been boring and it's mainly been the women driving the house... so it's just that fact that they're all women at this point being put up, I think ....

God, Thomas is so boring that I didn't even notice.

I still think Tom is being edited unfairly. I think first night he showed a fun side, Ryan disliked him but we haven't seen why really. Why are they not showing the banter...

Big up Khaled for standing in solidarity with the brothers in these difficult times :smug:.

I heard him say to Sarah ( I think) that no women ever make him a meal or a drink like currently happens in the BB house !?!

Maybe its that kind of viewpoint that has alienated him from so many of the women in there ??

He’s clearly not used to being around women and doesn’t act or interact normally around them ?

Like I said we are only seeing a tiny , tiny snapshot of BB life .

I never saw a clash over the shopping :conf: .

The other issue with Hannah seemed to be resolved.

The problem with Ali is Ali's own doing,so not Khaled's fault.

I don't think he has an issue with women as such ,I think he only put martha up as he knows she'll be safe and he's bonded the least with her .

He seems to get on fine with Hannah now , and he seems cool with Rosie aswell.

Niamh. 15-10-2024 09:34 AM

I don't know but I think saying he clashed with Ali is unfair as that was all her doing and people clash with the shopping lists all the time I wouldn't have that on the list either

Crimson Dynamo 15-10-2024 09:39 AM

He accused Hanah of being aggressive just because she dared to express an opinion.

She did and she did it in a rather aggressive manner, efing and jeffing

all your other points

no

Has he been mercilessly picked on by a woman?

yes

Ammi 15-10-2024 09:40 AM

…I’m not sure but the aggie thing with Hanah is something that’s still slightly niggling…that he didn’t like/agree with what she said and then maybe didn’t appreciate her passion and tried to gaslight it as something else…I’m not saying that’s how it is/was but it’s how it could be interpreted so I’m staying open with him…does he see females as equals to males…?..I really don’t know but the thing with BB is just judging on what we do see…

No, I do not think he has an issue with women at all.

In fact, I think him nomming Ali and Lily is 100% understandable.

He has been attacked and criticised constantly by Ali and Lily is her sidekick. I don't think it's fair for implying that his issue with her is because she is female when he has been her target multiple times. In fact, i would say that Ali has a misandric streak, not the other way around.

TBF, Hanah did get worked up and that caused him to say that. She called it 'being passionate' but you can understand how that would come across to a stranger as aggressive. And the shopping list is always a flashpoint.

In the end, generally speaking the women in the house are the stronger personalities right now, with the men only just starting to wake up as they realise that being passive is just making them easy targets. It's no wonder they are getting more noms.

If you are basing your opinion on him due to him saying no women makes him tea on the outside, you need to know he actually said nobody makes him tea on the outside, even going on to say hiw silly it sounds to him if his friends said come round for tea.

I think this is a very fair evaluation of the whole situation. My feeling is that Khaled is a decent guy, who is trying his best to navigate new people and a new situation as thoughtfully and kindly as he can. That doesn’t make him a bad person - it means he is trying to show consideration for others. They have only known each other for a week, and don’t we all try our best when we first meet people. He doesn’t deserved to be vilified for that, as it’s coming from a positive place,

I personally feel Khaled has been the victim of some character assassination in the house, without it being justified. He is, quite unfairly in my opinion, being painted as if he is the worst person in the world, and now everything he does and says is being interpreted and jumped on as if it is somehow denotes some villainous intent.

That makes me feel uncomfortable, and saddened, as no-one deserves to be treated in that way.

As Will said on L &L last night

You can now get criticised for being Nice?

Yes, i don't get this at all. Someone in another thread said something like oh Ali was right because he said he'd bite back harder if she came for him again (or words to that effect) how does that prove her point? Like "oh look see he's not nice after all" wtf? She's a psychologist, surely she knows people aren't just one way, surely being nice should be the default around people you don't know well until you have a reason not to be nice?

Unfortunately in Ali's eyes if you are 'nice' then you are fake....which kind of says a lot about her.

Vanessa 15-10-2024 10:25 AM

No. He's been nothing but nice?

If he eventually reacts to her provocation and attacks and snaps back that will be him showing his 'true colours' and be used against him :rolleyes:
