lisas attack

as much as i dont like her i felt sorry for her when she had that attack at first i thought she was fakeing it but then believed she actually was haveing trouble breathing

LEE 04-07-2003 12:07 AM

I haven't had chance to watch any BB today, haven't seen BBLB either.

What attack? What happened?

radiohead 04-07-2003 12:14 AM

She had like a hayfever asthma type like attack and i thought she was faking it too liliacquuen but it was obvious she was in some pain and it wasnt nice! :spin2:

liliacqueen 04-07-2003 12:19 AM

it happened because of the heat and nerves of the task i felt really sorry for her

steve_o 04-07-2003 12:24 AM

The only one's really bothered about her were Nush and Ray. I couldn't believe the face on Cameron, this from a so called Christian, were was he when she needed some help. I must say that Lisa's brought out a different side to Cameron and Steph. They are not all sweetness after all. They are human, well I think anyway.

:spin:

liliacqueen 04-07-2003 12:28 AM

i think they are nice but they have the nast sides which are showing now

rachb 04-07-2003 12:29 AM

hmmm I didn't believe her,if she felt so ill why did she have a cigarette afterwards?
I think its all part of her game plan, she didn't want to be responsible for them failing the task so she pulled a sickie:nono:
its Gos that has been quite ill for ages but he managed it,he's had a cough since he went in but still took part in the task:nono:
ok rant over back to be nice now:love::laugh::love:
I do think its showing the others in a bad light but thats what her plan is

liliacqueen 04-07-2003 12:30 AM

it could of been edited her haveing a cigrette

radiohead 04-07-2003 12:30 AM

Yea nasty sides showing the shows getting good now! Cameron didnt seem impressed with his one badge type thing!

sweetlittlesara 04-07-2003 12:32 AM

I actually think that it was quite genuine.

Firstly I dont see how she would have known that Big Brother would not let her do the task and also because she seemed quite upset when she couldnt join in.

Also I have had similar attacks in the past and I know that it is awful and you just cant breathe and think that it would be quite impossible to pretend to do.

rachb 04-07-2003 12:37 AM

The other thing she said aswell if you noticed was when talking to bb she said she hadn't had an attack or hayfever for 15 years :thumbs:then later in the conversation she said it had happened lots recently:conf::conf:
if it was real i'm sure she could have waited a while for another cigarette, she smokes like a chimney maybe now would be a good time to give up:thumbs:
and why did bb not give her an inhaler:conf:
my mum has asthma its awfull and anyone that really suffers would have known what to do,she should have asked for help from bb straight away,if it was a real attack she would have needed treatment asap

steve_o 04-07-2003 12:41 AM

It's pretty bad if people just sit there and did nothing whether it's true or not, if she'd have dropped down dead or something, would people be saying she pulled a fast one then, I don't think so. Cameron sat there looking like he didn't give a toss now thats evil as far as I'm concerned. How were people to know at the time weather she was pulling a fast one or not, it's human nature to help people who are in distress it's only a lousy game show after all, she could have been chewing gum or something and had it stuck in her wind pipe.

rachb 04-07-2003 12:46 AM

although I didn't believe her myself I do agree Steveo, the others should have gone to bb to get help just in case:nono:
I think its shown another side to the other housemates,I'm sure if I had been there even if I wasn't sure I would have helped her:thumbs:It could have been very serious

liliacqueen 04-07-2003 12:51 AM

i would of gone to get help straight away after leaveing her with some one to keep a eye on her

radiohead 04-07-2003 12:53 AM

Yeah, so would i because she may have actually collapsed there if it had been bad! l

steve_o 04-07-2003 01:19 AM

If look's could kill, Is this the nice Guy Cam, this picture say's it all. It's pretty bad, like some old wild west preacher. Lay off thou fags, or the rath of god will smite thy down. Come off it Cameron. :conf:

blinkinlovely 04-07-2003 01:21 AM

Sorry - I didn't believe the incident for ONE minute.
Lisa made so much noise when having that "asthma" atttack. She didn't once ask for an inhaler, which all asthmatics wouls carry (even if it was a mild case). T
the smoking!!

She didn't even support the group during the task - just casting a mildly interested glance towards the prancing HMs

Sorry she's a totaol fake.

PS Good Pic, steve!:wavey:

liliacqueen 04-07-2003 01:26 AM

i agree i dont like her at all

Sticks 04-07-2003 08:42 AM

Playing Devils Advocate

This was a stress induced asthma attack. I am a non smoke, but what I am told is that smoking gives short term relief from stress, even though the withdrawl symptoms from niccotine add to that stress. In this sense the smoking may have been a strange way of doing self medication.

also it could have been editing ....

Stu xxx 04-07-2003 04:29 PM

i must say i have had coughing fits in the past and i often have a ciggie straight after because it in some weird way it does seem to calm everything down x Plus i don't think she actually said she had an asthma attack everyone is just jumping to that conclusion - This summer is supposed to be the worst year ever for hayfever and i don't know about anyone else but my chest has become extremley tight over the last few weeks - a symptom i have never experienced before! i may not like her but i feel it was geniune - leave the poor girl alone x

AndyJK 04-07-2003 04:42 PM

I heard it was caused by hayfever, not asthma. I know Lisa is not everyone's cup of tea, but to presume she would fake anything like that is very extreme. Consider also she was inspected by a doctor who advised her not to take part. Lisa appears to enjoy the limelight, and I can't believe she would want to go to extraordinary lengths to avoid a task.

But let's say to satisfy the conspiracy theorists, she did fake her breathing rpoblems. For what possible purpose may I ask? To avoid possibly failing the task for the house-mates? Is that necessarily a bad thing?

bananarama 04-07-2003 04:44 PM

I think the attack was genuine. Cameron's reaction was really quite sinister. If looks could kill:shocked:

On another posting I indicated I would like Cameron or Nush to win. That's now changed it is only Nush I want to win. After tonights eviction there may be no one in there that I would like to see win:devil:

Romantic Old Bird 04-07-2003 04:47 PM

OK, I have witnesses many asthma attacks in my life professionally, and believe me, this was NOT an Asthma attack.

If it was anything at all, it was hyperventilation. This is what a lot of young people (often 13-16, normally girls) when they get anxious about something - like a broken nail, or someone looking at them 'funny'.

In my opinion it was completely fabricated. It reminded me more than anything of the sort of presentation we see by chronic A&E attenders, 'factitious' illness or Munchausen Syndrome.

I.E. She put it on!!!! I am convinced of this by the amount of times she has rationalised and talked about it.

It was TERRIFICALLY unconvincing.

To be fair, Nush did come to her aid.

OK, the others might not have been too sympathetic, but I think their suspicions were 100% correct.

She tells porkies, and exaggerates all the time.

Whatever else, it was bloody convenient.:nono:

Was it? How?

how did this attack help her in any way shape or form - it ment she couldn't do the task which ment that people would take a disliking to her inside and outisde the house - and she knew this! Did you see her face when they where all doing the task? It was fuming! x This was a geniune attack i beleive

You just cannot be sure. I am not a professional but my late mother had those attacks (Not asthma) and it sent a chill up my spine to watch it. It was identicle to what I have seen more than enough of over the years.

The others may have thought it to be fake and perhaps it was. But there is no way they coud be sure so it was quite sinister expecially Cameron by adopting an I don't care won't help stance.
