C4 boss admits that BB8 hasn\'t been as good as bb7.
 

Julian Bellamy, the "controller of programming" of C4, has addmitted that this years bb has not been as good as last years.
I think it's encouraging that someone at the top is prepared to say this and not try and put anykind of spin on this disastrous series.
Hopefully, with a full year to reflect on where they went wrong, and have been going wrong since the calamotous "golden ticket" in bb7, they can comeback with a another classic series in bb9.
As terrible as this year's show has been, i know i'll still be "gagging for it" come the opening night of bb9.
Besides, it's another odd year, and all the odd number bb's have been the best, imho.

I dont see why some say BB7 was crap, when it had some fantastic housemate, and very entertaining moments, whilst this series hadn't had any. Channel bosses love BB7.

before any big debate starts....i think its ok to "pinch" other peoples post, espeicially if you share the same veiw like farhed does.

BB7 is by far better than this series, plus the show was a rating success, and had many memorable moments, whilst this series doesn't have any.

agree. got bored of it a couple weeks ago 2 predictable

umm 3 of the most memorable characters of that series? Do you prefer to watch boring floaters do nothing all day? :yuk:

BB5 and BB7 were probaly 2 of the best series ,take a lot to beat them!

Richard and Nikki made hilarious TV together, not bothered with Pete.

BB5 was the best IMO. BB6 and 7 were also very good though. This year has been poor because of the all girl start and the failed twists.

Well BB3, BB5, and BB1 all had better ratings than BB7. And in actuality, despite higher numbers than BB6, the viewing percentages (the important info) were slightly lower than both BB6 and BB4.

BB7 was better than BB8 really although i only enjoyed it up until nikki went but it was still great but saying that i have enjoyed this series its just gone down for me when charley then 3 days later chanelle left then we had no one really well its all over on friday so hopefully next year will be BB5 but better :D

For me BB8 is better than BB7. We didn't have any psychos, mentals, rubbish twists and the less deserving winner ever. BB8 was more intelligent, with funniest housemates, good twists and entertaining factors. BB7 was a disaster because all the great characters went early, that's terrible, it should have been so much better. I did enjoy BB7 but for me BB8 is better in the way it's been completely different with normal housemates.
But everyone will agree, BB5 is the best by far ! :spin:

BB7 was my favourite series by far, I hope that BB9 is amazing.

I dont like comparing series'.. i personally think that every series is very different and shouldnt be compared to others. think about it - when u compare them it just makes it seem like it has been a rubbish year. this year has been a good big brother IMO just like last years..and the year befores and so on..

They have been all alright, it does depend how.

I don't have a fav series, I like them all. But not series can beat BB4-Bore, that was so boring, and even a boring person won. I like this year's BB, because the all girl thing at the start was something different, of course most women moaned that there was no eye-candy in there, even though it's BB, and not who's hot and who's not lol

I did not like BB7 hardly watched it, thought a lot looked like they were on day release from a mental institute.. but I'm sure those that enjoyed it enjoyed it for a reason.

I have loved BB8, we've had some great moments on there and I've loved most of the other series also. We all differ in what ones we like, I'd say that they've never had a good series since BB2, but that's just how I feel.

Well I completely agree, BB7 was for me a meeting for mentals only. That's the series of every mistakes BB shouldn't make but oh well it's done. I respect BB7 lovers and I'm not surprised if they don't like BB8 because it was different at all.
BB8 has been a great series with ups and downs, very enjoyable.

How can you trust anything that is said by Julian Bellamy. He clearly wants the show off the air and in any case the format has ben watered down because of Jade Gobby and her little bitch dogs.

By the way, is there a source for this piece of information because as far as I can make out at the moment it just hear say from another forum. Namely Digital Spy and it is not even from their news section but just a forum post.

Anyone could have made it up!
