What is it about Rex that makes fans so Loyal!
 

Not all Rex fans, but very many, say he's funny and entertaining. They say his mean behaviour towards others is just for fun.... but they very seldom give any examples of what it is that he's done to deserve their support.

If his belittling and berating other housemates is just for fun, it's only HIS fun. It's not much fun for the person on the receiving end. He's baited and bullied Rachel until she was in tears.

He's taunted Mo increasingly throughout the last 8 or 9 weeks. He was okay with Kat, but now that the nominations are over, he's started on her. Within 2 days of Nicole being in the house, he even had HER an emotional wreck.

Rex's treatment of Sara last week was disgusting. When he said "All you have to do with Sara is tell her to bend over." he might have thought it was funny, but I certainly didn't... and I'm sure Sara didn't either. Twice this past week he was taken into the diary room and reprimanded for his behaviour toawrds Sara, but even then he disagreed with Big Brother.

Rex's fans talk about the others bitching, but he does it just as much as anyone else. He's talked about most housemates behind their backs and then been nice face to face. He's arrogant, boastful, materialistic and abusive. He has to bring others down to make himself feel big... and once he's done it, he then berates them for not 'fighting back'.

The thing I don't understand about Rex's fans is this... We all watch either the live stream or the HL, or both. We've all seen him reduce people to tears. How can anyone defend this? We've all seen him insult Sara and be reprimanded. How can anyone defend that? We've all seen him shout to Nicole "Grab all the good things and bring them to me."... or run to get into the store room first. We've seen him lie about Rachel's VT just to upset her. We've seen him boast about his wonderful lifestyle and say that in the house, he's stuck with the kind of people he would never normally 'socialise' with.... and although he loves to have a go at others, we've seen him countless times, absolutely seething if someone dared to do treat him the same way. How can anyone defend any of these actions?

There seems to be a total refusal among Rex's fans, to give any solid reason for supporting or defending him... and if you ask, you usually get told "We don't have to answer to you!"... or "Rex to win!"... or "Rex is brilliant!", which says absolutely nothing which would encourage you see him in a different light.

When anyone posts anything negative about Rex, most of his fans do nothing to defend him. Their standard replies to these posts are something like...

'Another Rex hate thread.

Have you people got nothing better to do.

Just what we need. Another Rex bashing thread.

The only thing these posts have in common is SARCASM and the belittling of other FM's opinions... often berating the other FMs themselves.... So maybe that's why Rex's fans like him. Maybe they think it's quite acceptible to treat others... and their opinions... with complete contempt.... just like their hero.

And your defense of 'well im gonna like cos u hate him' is ridiculous

They're all falling for his "charm".

Not really loyal, 90% of them disliked him when Nicole was in there and only started to support him again recently- including me.

Rex was ok until Nicole went in, then when she came out he was fine again.

Well then how fickle is that. You know how horrible he can be, but because hes only showing you one face at the moment your willing to turn a blind eye and forgive him?

I'm willing to forgive him because 90% of it was that stupid **** Nicole. And I find him hilarious, even when he is in the wrong.

I don't like Rex, I can't stand sarcastic people, he is funny at times, but I still don't like him, I still think he has a good chance at winning, which would be a travesty, he would be the first winner to ever get booed.

I love Rex, not because I love arrogant people or obnoxious people. I love Rex's soft side, his sarcastic side his HILERIOUS side.
Rex is not the best... he would not be a good winner, mainly because he is hated.. I want him to win because I have stuck with him from the start... the minute I saw his VT, I loved him.
A perfect example of imperfect Rex was in lasts nights highlights..at the end. He was having a genuine laugh with Darnell..and he does care about Mo.. even though he "bullies" him.. apparently. When Rex insults someone its what hes used to. If someone has forgotten he spends his life in a kitchen.. shouting and giving out orders and like he says, after a service they all shake hands and forget the harsh words because it was in the heat of the moment... thats Rex's personality... when he shouts at someone or insults someone its in the heat of the moment, he cannot stop himself.. or he just doesn't think to. His flaws make him what he is..
So that is why I love Rex.

That's your problem though. Jumping to conclusions, speaking for her. She herself said she has no problem with what Rex has said, big brother and the public has just overreacted.

Compared to Mo Darnell and kat fans there nothing.

Rex fans usually admit when hes wrong the majority of the ones ive stated wont.

There obviously perfect to them.

rex rex i dont think he should win by any means but sometimes i am afraid he can b right last nights highlights he was bang on unfortunatley he is an arrogant bullying controle freak most of the time.im not sure he quite realises that some of the stuff he does is downright offensive but give him credit lastnight when sara started going a wee bit to far with the darnell thing he was dead right:shrug:

you gave us an example of imperfect REX ... we didn't need one ... we get that he bites. Your reason for liking him seemed to be .."well I've always liked him and I can't change because that would make me look like a fool ... despite all the nasty stuff he's done". You mentioned people don't understand that he treats his employee like dirt so that's why he does the same to others ...what? We get that ... it's still no where near OK ... he's a bully because daddy's money got him everything all the time ... he treats people like servants because they are the only friends he had growing up.

Some things he says arent in a funny or sarcastic way sometimes he is nasty for no good reason.

Rachel is the most consistant housemate this series. Shes never strayed from her path. But to you that suspicious because 'who can be like that all the time'?

Okay fair enough... but I don't only still like him because I will look like a fool if I don't, I find it insulting you would make that accusation. I LOVED Mikey at the start... kept saying I want him and Rex in the final.. stuck up for Mikey when people would say why they hated him... now I destest him, so don't worry I'm not a fool... I can admitt when someone is an ass... which Rex is. His IMPERFECTIONS make him what he is, and as for all the "Bully" CRAP, he got a tough time when he was in school when his dad came out. He has expirenced bulling...I feel he is actually VERY self concious and hides it with his "Tough, i'm better, I have loads of money" exterior...people can say they hate him, people can say they want him to get boo'd, me..? I feel he deserves the final because and lets face it.. he speaks his mind, admitts when he is wrong and is REAL.
