Gangtas paradise was good. Then fantastic vyage was his 2nd song I liked. then 1,2,3,4 was also pretty good. ANd there are others. He's got a few hits, its just that he didnt really have longevity in the Rap game.

He's still an attention seeking tool...I liked him for two days then he goes and turns into a c*ck again.

Btw andy i never said hes a one hit wonder. but ive just never heard of him didnt even know he sang gangsters paradise..

i just dont tend to listen to any rap music or whatever lol..

those 5 hits were all in a short span....he hasnt had any big hits for a very long time. love him or hate him Coolio was a HUGE force in the rap world when he was in his prime....and if he were still in his prime he wouldnt be on CBB now, would he?? :thumbs:

Fantastic Voyage is a great tune. Coolio was great back in the day.

Gangstas Paradise aint even oringinally written by him.

It is, only the chorus isn't. (Well technically he only uses the beat as the original song doesn't mention the word 'Gangsta', it's 'Pastime' instead.)

Just because they charted high doesn't mean they were as successful as Gangasters Paradise. A song can peak high and fall fast.

He's called a one-hit wonder because none of his songs since or before have matched GP.

You know most pop artists you listen to? ... *whispers* ... they dont write their own material.

Coolio is not the be-all and end-all of music. I know a shitload about music and just because I haven't heard beyond Gangsta's Paradise does not mean otherwise.

If you listened to hip hop from that era, and you dont know most of those songs, then sorry, you dont know a shitload about music. Certainly not about hip hop. If you only know GP, then you only know Hip hop songs played in the radio in the UK

Correction: I don't know about American Hip Hop. That is not the majority, or entirety, of music.
