\'Race for life\' being for women only?
I dont get it?
We have all lost someone to cancer, so why is the race a women exclusive race? :puzzled: |
Because it was originally made to help deal with women cancers.
|
but surely, even if it was for women cancers, males would want to race in memory of people they have lost
|
I was talking about this not long ago, it annoys me to if men want to run and donate money to charity by getting sponsors like the women why not?
Limiting who they take money off by doing this. |

I think some of you just wish to complain for the sake of complaining. There are millions of charities. Geezus!

Its based around breast cancer, or it was when it first started anyway. Thats all there is to it really.
|
agree with tom and if you really want to do something there are plenty of other charity runs such as half marathons and so on or sponsor someone who is doing it or even just give a sum to the charity direct and i swear when i did it 2 yrs ago they were talking of doing some male races as well i'm doing it again this yr i shall find my race pack thing out and see what it says
|
I am sure if it really bothers you they would let you do it, they are not going out to upset males.

It bugs me when people say breast cancer is a women's cancer, Men get it too!
|
Just a sponsor a woman to run... I do that in work because Tesco is the official sponsor.
|
its pretty sexist to say "men can't raise money for this charity". They should be happy for any money they can get. Not be specific about who raises it

I don't think there is a rule that its only for women.
But I now mostly women do it who are fighting, have fighted or are close to someone who has suffered breast cancer. |
