Anybody else tired of the forum roleplaying?

Anybody else kind of feel ... left outside in the cold with about .6% of the rest of the forum? It kind of feels like most of the form is wrapped in some sort of uber cool gang or brotherhood or sect of speaking queer right now or something.

It actualy makes the place a kind of boring place to be. Probably just me .

Novo 24-05-2009 01:01 PM

Join the brotherhood

Sam! 24-05-2009 01:01 PM

Yep its been like that for a little while now, I wouldn't say its the whole forum, a handful of people?

SiaSiaSia 24-05-2009 01:02 PM

Ignorance is bliss?

hannah. 24-05-2009 01:03 PM

Sam! 24-05-2009 01:04 PM

He dunt mean the brotherhood, I don't think. Like the people who speak like they're proper camp.

Conor 24-05-2009 01:04 PM

I actually dont have a clue what anyones saying/going on about any more. I usually just post in BB10 & Designs now.

If I discovered this place in 08/09 Im not sure if I would have joined.

Everyones friendship group has changed IMO
6 months ago I wasn't friends with anyone because I was going through my moody phase and 9 months ago it was you, me, annie, tom and someone else (is it bad I can't remember who?)

And now I can't reaaally be in a clique but when I wasn't a mod I was closer with Shaun/Zee/Etc.

Well, it is *one* of the roleplaying cliches going on around here. I know it is not all the forum, but a vast majority of the kind of members who post quiet a lot are in these crazy kid clubs, and I cant see the fun in sharing my forum personality or signature with about fifteen other people. It makes the place so dry to be around.

Scarlett. 24-05-2009 01:06 PM

It was fun at first, but then I got bored and gave up :flower: I just ignore it now

lightyears 24-05-2009 01:07 PM

u cant expect ppl that know each other on here for a while to speak to each other like they dont know each other just so new ppl feel welcome, if the new people, including myself join in with ppls conversations then they will become part of the group too, dont u think?

I think you completely missed the point, Jack. We can all know each other and post as individuals without being dragged down and classed into boring fantasy alter ego's that center around making all the members of the forum exactly like one another. That is boring, my friend.

It's not just so much 'cliques' because thats a personal thing. Their is also just plain old 'groups' - both formal and informal, that make it feel like the forum has ... oh say ... twelve ... members?

I'm a bit confused to what you mean.
It's not to 15 other people anyway - I read all the brotherhood posts (well I kind of have to) and it's not like their personality is different in any other group.
It's only natural to make friends on forums and be close to some, it shouldn't hinder you from joining in.

Don't let one thread bug you, still plenty of threads in the forum.. You could make threads that you want. Plenty of threads i don't like but one thread is not the whole forum.

Hold yer horses, pun intended, nothing bugs me. Like I said first and foremost this is not a personal issue, it is just something I feel has made the forum less entertaining. Honestly, it just bores me to tears a lot of the time now. And it is nothing specifically to do with one thread.

I remember about a year ago when somebody told me far too much of what was happening in MSN convorsations spilt out onto the forum and the topics became private playgrounds of whoever inhabited them. I never understood that point but I do now. I click on about fifteen threads a day now where the contents are 'bbz' and about eight other members will reply 'lolz!' and im just like 'huh?'.

\PJ/ 24-05-2009 01:24 PM

What is bbz?

hannah. 24-05-2009 01:27 PM

means babies
say it aloud
